  1. I have no problem with Wuzzer or Klipsch removing the aforementioned thread. Klipsch is kind enough to lets us all interact on this forum. If they were protecting their interest, they should. I have heard so many happy people praise their Heresy speakers, i just want more people to buy them, so they get that smile!
  2. I am sure these speakers work just fine if properly set up, with some good recordings, a good space, compliant gear, and house treatments..... give them a chance.....i trust Klipsch... lots of lines, for different apps... how many times have you heard how good, they can be....in all types and budgets...
  3. Thanks for the responses! tom1066 he plays right striker, taught him to kick with both feet but he is left footed..... only made sense to me, if you have two feet, learn too use them, the weak one, as much as possible....watching the level of some of the best in the world in Barcelona was eye opening to say the least..My boy plays mostly in south american leagues in Minnesota, meaning, most of the kids are from the south of our border, about 90% i would say. the other 9% are from Africa or Asia. The people are so kind to him, even after what has happened recently with our faux border disputes, it gives me hope at some level ..they do call him "blanco" which upsets me a bit........heck we are all just people.....
  4. Was lucky enough to take my boy to Barcelona for a soccer tryout/ camp. I was shocked that after almost 2 weeks of homework and class work missed, he only had about 7 hours of work to do when we got back..In your experience is this normal? He's only in the fifth grade and has been in a immersion school since he was 5, am I being over critical? Just doesn't seem like its enough work. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
  5. Dude your just another fear monger, look at the truths, read history, go to other westernized countries.....see how they live, look at facts...we are all human beings and can live together.... they are just pulling your strings..... "your values"!!! used for those who care very little and own much....
  6. You may want to try to go active, you just need a mic and a few amps, an active xover.... then see if you can dial it in for your liking.... then test the passives.. heard some pretty amazing systems using passives.
  7. Mogami custom made, I have only tried a few other brands...... the clarity is unreal, amp matching in your space and great speakers and recordings as always is a must. if something is or was a studio standard always give it a chance ......
  8. i have had this experience, its just different, as an esteemed forum member who heard the same system said, it made K- horns sound like an am radio.... i have heard his K-horns and they sounded good, then he upgraded them and the sounded great, but there is a big difference when a room is treated floor to ceiling and then dialed in with an active crossover, with great gear and a highly tuned system...
  9. if you dont want to sand them with oil, take a walnut and rub it on the scratches. it works well
  10. Ive had 2 pairs of cornwalls always missed my altec 604s.....you hear so much more of the music, they can be bought for little like a cornwall, but look what Jean Hiraga did with them and the reviews at the hi fi show in Germany.....good recordings and the 604s and cornwalls arent even in the same league to a critical listener...
  11. I would run not walk, these applied properly will compete with very expensive speakers, they are only 1250.... NA, I have 2 pairs of 604 models and prefer them for many things over M19s.... For hearing the inner details of recordings and great seperation they made my 2 pairs of cornwalls sound medicore.... good luck.....
  12. This is a nice deal! I sold mine for 3500,,,,, Good luck with your sale, you may want to include the woofer and driver type.... dont know why these letters are so small, sorry!
  13. Good for you Wuzzer, always nice to pass on a good deal to a friend! I gave some really nice Cornwalls to a friend, sadly he moved and they were destroyed in the process, wish I hadnt now, they looked like no other pair I have seen. Still using the Pany you sold me for K402 management, awesome little amp. Thanks again!
  14. I have had few well regarded preamps, the only one I have kept was a Pilot sp 210, but in my main set up I use my cd with variable volumn control and it sounds quite nice. Something about the HK 7600ii built like a tank and has bested my oppo cd player and a very nice denon.... almost sounds like great vinyl...
  15. I have a pair of their cabs and from what I ve been told some people have tested them who have Jubs, and they are so close its almost exact. His Dad is an extremely competant speaker builder and tester who has built scores of different types of speakers. I think the up charge for the veneer is around 125.00, they also can build grills for a very fair price.
  16. I destroyed a very rare pilot console model 1120A to pull the tube amps out, if i knew what i know now i wouldnt have have done it., In the 50's it cost as much as a budget car. I feel silly about it, i have never seen another one like it.
  17. Thanks Chris! I diidnt recall us speaking about it, as you reminded me, I do! I will just experiment with different configurations with the 402s. As far as coverage I have never heard anything like the 402s and they are so civil. Thanks again!
  18. Is there any advantage to angleing K 402s down in a small room? I notice that most images of Jub setups they are set up parallel to the jub bass bins top surface. Oddly though the K402s sled is adjustable where the driver sits in back, but the front brackets that hold the front lower portion of the horn are fixed with an L shaped bracket, and would need to be bent. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  19. Hope everyone stays safe......
  20. Electronic cleaner and lots of it, not familiar with this model but I purchased a large vintage receiver that was full of dust and smelled of smoke and oil, I gently sprayed it with electronic cleaner and then gently used q tips and rags to get the majority of the hairy debris out, then doused it with E cleaner and wiped over and over... I used almost a whole can of cleaner, let it dry for 3 days, no more smell, no more oil, no more dust, and it worked for 3 years in my sons system before I sold it....
  21. LOVE these types of threads..... making fun of something that can be a beautiful thing...... how many years has the world been working on this?
  22. I have been to Starkey's a bunch of times with my Dad, he had a bunch of their hearing aids. Their wall of pictures of their clients is pretty impressive, 3 or 4 presidents, a few astronauts, many esteemed musicians, and lots of actresses and actors. of the 500 or so pictures on their wall I recognized most of the characters....The funny part was when the groups would come in from the south, with their gold toed boots and their limos, I just wished they would have left their hats at the door....
