BigStewMan
Great Pyrenees Always loved those dogs … how are they are?
JL Sargent
He really is the best dog. I think socializing this breed early with people is important. He is very friendly but eats a lot of chow! If somebody drives up at night he barks to let us know but is not aggressive to the visitor. Here is a picture of him.
oldtimer
Wow what a stunner! The dog of course.
BigStewMan
Great looking dog. The size is intimidating to a stranger and i imagine the bark is proportional to its size. I was always a fan of the larger dogs … had a St. Bernard once … wind was blowing smoke from the neighbors chimney directly into our yard. The dog went crazy alerting me…when i went outside he ran around the house to where the smoke was. Once i acknowledged him, he stopped barking. My next dog will be a bull mastiff--since chances are that i’ll be deaf someday (already lost 75% of my hearing) a bull mastiff trained as a hearing service animal would be ideal. Looked it up on the internet and didn’t see any such dogs as service animals though. Edited October 9, 2014 by BigStewMan

oldtimer
We rehabbed a baby robin once. Fed it with chopsticks to minimize human interaction. Then I had to teach it where to really find food. It hung around for a couple of days at first but soon figured out where life was meant to be.

mungkiman
And the woodpeckers were at a completely different project, the Tiny House. You can see that I stuffed foam in the vent holes this afternoon: https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/151979-tiny-house-448-square-feet/?p=1788446
