SuBXeRo
My living room is 25 feet wide the speakers were in the middle of the room and 14 foot ceilings no wonder there's no bottom and on the fives LOL I would say that's why haha. That's a lot of volume. Manufacturers don't kid around sometimes when they suggest speakers for certain room sizes

Moderators Youthman Posted September 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) Sounds like its time for a dedicated 2 channel listening room. Got it covered with the DeanG RF-7ii in the living room. RF-83's and original RF-7's are no longer in the living room. SuBXeRo
Steven, your photos are so Incredible every time. If the 7's didn't meet your needs it would be legend or heritage. Even still, the upgrade could be there...

Moderators Youthman Posted September 6, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 6, 2014 Steven, your photos are so Incredible every time. Thanks....but who is Steven? First name is Michael but my last name is Stevens. It's funny how many people actually call me Steven. I answer to whatever. That's nice and all but I mean a dedicated room. One where the wife could care less. Like your home theater. Ah, gotcha. Although I love listening to music, I rarely sit down in front of the speakers to just listen to 2ch. Probably 80% HT, 20% Music. I'm usually working on the computer with the RF-7ii's.
Scrappydue
would be interesting to see a factory 2 way lascalaJust curious on your thoughts of why the 2-way would be an upgrade to a 3-way design. or your blueprint of the 7iii ultra thoughHa, I'm not sure that design has any potential of being a great speaker combined like that. It was fun compositing it in photoshop though. Now, that would be amazing, but me thinks not too likely.Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up on that one. Missed your post...2 way lascala with 510 built in to top hat maybe factory split rather than on top mounted the way a couple or few people have done around here. That could actually end up being somewhat economical and would be the best 2 way speaker in production from any manufacturer imo...unless we go into the $12k range or use pro audio gear...Just a thought...Im sure it would get a ton of good attention, or attention regardless if good or bad and that's good in the long run normally...I have never heard this combo that im aware of but not being a 2 way person unless you go with good bookshelves basically and a descent powered sub id love to hear and consider buying. At that point id love to see a 2 way cornscala type speaker redone with direct 15 and the 510. sort of like a 904 with a single 15 and maybe a passive like a chorus ii...Or even a dual 12 with the 510 sort of like the cf4...there are so many combos klipsch would really take leaps with putting pro gear together for home use that this forum and others would take attention to. And if they were to offer the pro style it would save cost for people who cannot or wont pay for fruitwood veneer(fruitwood is the most interesting if you can find it, and costly)or birch, oak etc... Your photoshop 7iii is totally feasible. I hate saying it but I don't see the klipsch engineers of this day taking something like that on...and id say it would be more a pro rf7 and cost too much for any particular spot in the audio market but it would be sweet A 3 way reference is a sure bet with great odds for klipsch imo and from many others from what I read...Not all the way palladium but 3 way klipsch reference is a homerun without doubt... I gotta be real with what we see... There is already a new reference soundbar and the rebadge icons is without doubt following voxx fashion. A great new speaker is below an option in the future with klipsch. We gotta be happy with what klipsch has already produced imo...and I hope im wrong....It is a tough world for audiophile production these days...but that's no reason to flop the already flops. Even if klipsch would make a new speaker for many audiophiles to buy may take a year or likely longer...unless its a real good speaker its called a kpt-325!

hydro_pyro
How come the 25 series Reference models seem to completely sit out the product quality discussions? I own a complete Reference 25 set, RF-25's, RC-25, RB-25's, RS-25's, and RW-10, and I love them! Are the later models worlds ahead, or what? Did I miss the boat by buying these? No you most certainly did not miss the boat. As you probably know, the RF-25 system is from the Reference III series and is out of production and has been replaced by the RF-62(Ref IV) and RF-62II(current version). Nothing inferior at all with your gear just a tad older and it falls right below the flagship Ref III RF-35 system. In my opinion, if you get the itch to upgrade at all without completely replacing your entire speaker system, I would start with the subwoofer. The RW-10(I have RW-10d in my bedroom system) just does not have that wall rumbling or tight musicality that would really take your system to the next level. hydro_pyro
Rumbles fine for me at any frequency, as long as the phase is flipped, which seems odd. (I run my mains at large/full range, but not sure why the phase doesn't agree)

Yeah, they've just been renamed and are now the RF-62. IMO, the third generation Reference series(RF-15/25/35 etc) are completely underrated. Of the five generations, I like their sound the best. Super-punchy midrange.
Administrators Chad Posted September 9, 2014 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2014 R-110SW Subwoofer... http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-R-110SW-Bundle-Subwoofer-Wireless/dp/B00NB7SE52 Hilarious that they say they are "in stock", when they are literally not in stock anywhere, because we haven't released that model.
