BigStewMan
no; but, i do remember my brother had the Eagles (One of These Nights), America (Greatest Hits), and YES (Close to the Edge). That YES tape got me hooked on the band. Edited September 4, 2014 by BigStewMan
USNRET
Wow, more "how old are you? My first was not an eight track but a four track of Pearly Shells. Player mounted under the dash of a '63 Chevy Biscayne using one rear deck speaker.

MORE KLIPSCH PLEASE
No I don't. But I do remember this 8-track tape that was not a tape, it was a stash for your weed. Got it at a record shop that sold weed paraphernalia back in the late 70's. I used to much of the contents of that tape that's why I can't remember my 1st 8-track lol lol :-)

Ceptorman
I remember my older brothers having 8 tracks, but I didn't own any. In 1973, I was 10 years old and had a turntable, so no need for tapes. A few years later I bought a cassette, record my own. I was the first kid on my block to buy a cd player. It was 1984, I paid $400 for a single cd Yamaha. I still have my first cd, Pink Floyd The Wall.
CECAA850
Mountain, "Climbing". I wore that puppy out. If I heard the album today, I'd still be listening for the track breaks.

JJkizak
Be carefull when you plug those old babies in as the rollers on some of them dissolve into a huge mess inside the guts of the machine. I have about 50 of them and had to throw out about 10 of them with the bad rollers. JJK
