mattSER
http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/4717803051.html If I put them together myself, would I come out ahead?
muel
I'd prefer Heresy II cabinets. Then you could by the Heresy upgrade kit and have some wonderful Heresy III's!
moray james
http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/4717803051.html If I put them together myself, would I come out ahead? I would love for you to show me how you can build a set of Heresy size veneered cabinets for less than 75 dollars (each)? Why don't you take a very long and close look at Bob Crites's CS1 design. I would take those in a heart beat over any Heresy no matter the series and I own two sets of H3. Bob can sell you CNC birch ply baffles to make diy very simple. Best regards Moray James. NeeleSteele
You're looking at ~$750 for the Heresey III Upgrade kit from Klipsch plus $60+shipping from Crites for the H2 motherboard. All in all $900 for some Heresey IIIs
angusruler
I've found that building your own, buying empty cabinets, then filling in the holes is a labor of love and not of profit. it's very satisfying, but isn't any cheaper, IMO.

muel
I imagine you can find everything you need for parts easily. Those cabinets don't look like they are in good enough condition to mess with unless you are interested in doing some work. It can be a fun project! https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/126780-heresy-ii-refurb-and-upgrade-to-hiii/
mattSER
Okay, thanks for the help guys. Maybe if the cabinets were in better shape I'd consider it, but I'm not really itching to own heresies right now. I just thought I might be able to put them together for cheap. If you are in a hurry who knows what your cost will look like but if you are patient then you can wait for excellent deals on parts and save a bunch. also do you want to build a set of Heresy or do you want a set of H2? turning a set of Heresy into H2 would involve some work on your part to change the baffle. Thanks for the rundown! Sounds like if I really wanted some heresy, I should just buy one of the pairs near me for $350.

jimjimbo
Are you in a hurry to have some Heresy's? Sure, they look rough, but so what. Buy them, work on them, collect some components over time. Enjoy the fruits of your labor down the road.
The Dude
Matt, I don't know where these are located. But I found them on the Scottsbluff Cl. http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/4673008301.html
mattSER
Thanks, buddy. Yeah, I've seen that ad but I'm just not too interested in heresies. If I'm going to buy heritage it's going to be Forte IIs. I just thought I might get away with building some heresies for cheap.
