Fish
Didn't everybody do this stuff.? I didn't think any rockers partied near as hard as the people I went to the shows with.
big bones billy
+1 on Buddy Holly. 22 years old. Hard to imagine what we missed out on. Not on the same level as some here, but Clarence Clemons. His sound was so unique. I was fortunate to attend his last show with the E Street Band in Buffalo Nov. 2009.

Why we never made it as a band. We typically partied like rock stars before we were.[emoji12]
RT FAN
Sandy Denny, tripped & fell down a flight of stairs at the age of 31. The best British female singer of the last 50 years. Eva Cassidy, cancer took her way before her time. Sometimes referred to as "The American Sandy Denny."
Paducah Home Theater
Lots of plane crashes. Hence the tour bus movement? That worked out great for Cliff Burton.

I think it was Motley Crue's autobiography where they detailed partying crazy hard after every show, going so far as like tying up a naked woman to the ceiling and forgetting about her, coming back and she had soiled herself in the worst kind of way. Such visuals were never meant for civilians.
Paducah Home Theater
My list: Kurt Cobain due to depression and mental illness Cliff Burton due to the fact that getting thrown out of a bus in your sleep then suffocating under it has got to be one of the worst ways to go 2pac as I think he was a genius even though he kinda asked for it. Yeah I know he's not a rocker. Keith Richards... oh wait, that guy is still alive, somehow.

Ceptorman
Holy Cow.....The mighty Steve Marriott ...fire. This was the kind of musician listened to and copied by Zeppelin and the like... I did not know he passed away. Frampton was 19 when he joined that band. 30 days in the hole! Ceptorman
Question how many were 38. I used to think that was a common thing as well. 27 was a common age for rocker's death. Hendrix, Kobain, Morrison, Joplin

ChuckAb3
+1 on Gram Parsons. Not only a good singer, but a composer who wrote music far more mature than his age (29 I believe). Helped 'fuse' folk, rock 'n roll and country. Gene Clark is another good candidate (one of the original Byrds) who did some good solo stuff. Died of booze in his late 40's. Maccagirl83
I have thoughts on this also... John Lennon, of course, what a sad way to go. And unnecessary. Accidental: Rick Nelson, and Buddy Holly.... And then those who took their own lives... Pete Ham, Tom Evans, Terry Kath... And there it is.
