JohnJ
He was only 64, I only got to see them three times. They did the "rock opening" for our new coliseum (now flattened... dumbasses.) after Frank Sinatra did the "grand opening" years ago. Highway to Hell over and over and over again with Budweiser and redbud in the big-block Charger and every other car we cruised this region at all hours of the day and night back in `79 or so. We'll miss you and your antics: I'm upper, upper class high society God's gift to ballroom notoriety And I always fill my ballroom The event is never small All the social papers say I've got the biggest balls of all I've got big balls I've got big balls And they're such big balls Dirty big balls And he's got big balls, And she's got big balls, But we've got the biggest balls of them all! And my balls are always bouncing My ballroom always full And everybody comes and comes again If your name is on the guest list No one can take you higher Everybody says I've got great balls of fire! I've got big balls I've got big balls And they're such big balls Dirty big balls And he's got big balls, And she's got big balls, But we've got the biggest balls of them all! Some balls are held for charity And some for fancy dress But when they're held for pleasure, They're the balls that I like best. And my balls are always bouncing, To the left and to the right. It's my belief that my big balls should be held every night. I've got big balls I've got big balls And they're such big balls Dirty big balls And he's got big balls, And she's got big balls, But we've got the biggest balls of them all! And I'm just itching to tell you about them Oh, we have such wonderful fun Seafood cocktail Crabs Crayfish 4

Speed
Wow, So young, sad day. Luckily I seen them play in 86 in Portland, on their Who Made Who, tour. Great rock band... They have a great album, it's a hidden gem. Flick of the Switch...

JohnJ
I was lucky enough to see the HtH at the WWWFs Park Center here, then BiB and the one in the early nineties "Powerage" is my number one fave followed by "Highway to Hell". 2

YK Thom
Another addition to a growing list we lost in 2017. Too young to die of complications from dementia. 1
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted November 19, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2017 Very sad to see a fellow Scotsman reach a much too early demise. Struggling for a few years. A truly great rhythm guitar player, one of the best. RIP Malcolm

Back then moving about the Commonwealth was relatively easy to do. My family followed the offered course available in those days. My parents came over to Canada from the UK in the late 50s and an uncle and wing of the family went to Australia. Though we are Jews, the culture of UK permeates our bones to this day. My mother was from Aberdeen (father from Manchester), and whenever I hear the pipes the hair on my arms stand at attention and I get a lump in the throat. Long way to the the top and it’s video always seemed to touch me and bridged the great spans of our family between the UK, Canada and Australia. A great band who touched many and highlighted the commonalities we share. Malcolm Young, May his name be for a blessing.
Don Richard
I've seen AC/DC a half dozen times, they're my favorite band, and it was sad to see Malcolm go down the last few years with his dementia. Rock on, brother, RIP.
JohnJ
Too many musicians weren't known for "fading away". And his was an awful way to do just that. It's nice to see the empathy expressed here. We all know maladies like this affect more than just the one with the problem.
