MEH Synergy
Check these Cornwall IIs Out. I like the wood motorboard and unique grille look. I haven't seen that before. Factory job or...? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Cornwall-II-Speakers-1986/292862223345?hash=item442ff2e3f1:g:MREAAOSwMQ1b9Eea
jvs1670
Looks pretty much like a thin piece of wood with cutouts for the speakers screwed in on top of the grills....pretty much ruined them. Maybe he's just trying to cover up torn or poor condition grill cloth.
moray james
I think that you may be jumping to conclusions. looks like a very clean job to me. I get the impression that a set of plywood grills with wood veneer were made with the fabric attached to the back side to give the speaker an all wood look on the baffle. Not my cup of tea but it looks like a well done job and not a hack job at all. A letter to the owner would answer any questions, they look to be mounted with four screws so may be removable. jason str
Looks like the woofer cutout was done with a jigsaw.
jjptkd
Yeah the Klipsch badge isn't centered either and that woofer cut out although not bad at first glance certainly does look to be cut by hand upon closer inspection doubt these are from the factory like that. All that being said not a bad looking pair IMO whoever did the work did a fairly nice job.
Godataloss
Looks like a conversion of an 'industrial' model. I don't think I have never seen that speaker terminal used on a Heritage speaker.

Frzninvt
He has the grills on backwards notice the cloth on the inside. What an ID 10 T. Rare wood facing. 😲

Please, attach a photo to alerts such as this, especially when something weird is in a listing. Without a photo, the CL, eBay, etc. listing dies and the thread loses all relevance. Dave A
The veneer chip bothers me a lot more than the grille which I thought looked pretty good. I could not see any saw over travel so the guy took some care in doing this.
