BigStewMan
... for a new guitar. Any suggestions? I've got 10 sitting around the house already; so I'm not buying out of need for one. Here's what I'm thinking (and I admit the top spot on the below list has a significant lead over the rest): 1. Duesenberg (Rusty Steel or possibly a Caribou) 2. Rickenbacker (always wanted one) 3. Variax (because they look like a lot of fun and that's what this purchase is about). Thank you legend Steve Howe or I'd never have known Variax existed. 4. Telecaster (to replace the one that got away years ago) 5. 12-String acoustic (I'm a Taylor guy; but do like a good Guild) I'm sure that I won't get either of these; but they're on my bucket list: a. Les Paul Black Beauty -- brings back some memories of being in high school and my best friend had one. b. Gibson Reverse Firebird (have played one and liked it).
babadono
I love NewGearDay or NewGuitarDay. Can't make any suggestions though. Enjoy the choice.

I don't know one from another, and color alone would not be a good way to pick, I would think.
Ceptorman
I've never heard of a Duesenberg guitar, I'll check that out. I've always wanted a Rickenbacker, especially the 4001 stereo bass.

But, I will admit, I think I'm leaning towards the Duesenberg Rusty Steel. But, I like killing time and the Variax is a lot of fun because you can get so many sounds out of it ... multiple tunings, banjo, sitar, resonator, 12 string, Just a lot of fun to play with.
