Tomorrow i am about to buy a McIntosh MC2120 if the seller decrease the selling price ..

Do someone know the reference of the power transistors ?  if i have these, i could see if this amp has been modified ..

Highly recommend you post on AudioKarma in the Mcintosh forum for this info if no one here can advise.

On MC 2125, original parts number are :

132188 & 132189    -    132151 & 132152

Location of transitors not on PC board : 17/24 and parts list  23/24 = Q227, Q228 - Q229, Q230 - Q231, Q232 - Q233, Q234 - Q237, Q238 - Q239, Q240

See here  http://www.berners.ch/McIntosh/Downloads/MC2125_ser_c.pdf

Sur le second lien il y a les correspondances, et puis il faut surfer sur le net pour trouver des infos avec les parts numbers, car se sont des transistors avec des réfs spécifiques à Mc 😉

For example for 132188 : https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/replacement-output-transistors-for-mac-4300v.217560/

But the opinion of the pros is to simply put original McIntosh 132188, so the references of the parts list are sufficient to order from Mc

McIntosh mc2120 not bought.

This used amp was not fresh. The chrome was oxidized, a corner was twisted, the price was too high. 1000 euros, something about 1200 dollars. Was too much for me.

And the 2120 is not so beautiful than the 2125.

it is an old SAE .. have tried it at the seller's home with preamp (pre-out) of an old sharp optonica sm3000 and klipsch RF7 mkIII. Sounded very fine.

but will it be the same in my home ? that's the question

I have a rack of SAE Gear t-----it's- harder to repair than  other amps  35 year old technology --although quite ahead of their times ------ these are  HIFI  power amps  ,  I would think this SAE  2200  --100 watts is ok with CWIV   -
