LoudnClear
Here's the rack my wife and I build from solid oak, 7/16" threaded rod and 0.75" PVC painted a textured black (Rustoleum for plastic). Wood is lemon oiled. Cornwalls and RF-63's not included.

jdm56
Diffusion and absorption panels and tubes, the whole room is treated with them.... My jaw jaw is on the floor; my heart is racing; breathing is labored... ...That is my dream room. Congrats on such a tasteful and I'm sure, great sounding room and set-up. My GOD what an incredible space! I'm sure you are literally transported by listening in such a gorgeous listening room. Would you care to share dimensions with us? Moderators dtel Posted April 6, 2007 Moderators Share Posted April 6, 2007 Arthurs, that room looks better than any room done by so called " Professionals " !
oldtimer
I totally agree with you Colter. That room is an audio shrine or temple. It does look pretty big in the photo too. I have to build a new house to get that kind of dedicated space. Still trying to pile up the money for that, have the land though.
arthurs
Thanks so much for the kind words guys, it's been a long journey, but well worth it. The room measurements are 20x23x10.5 and the room measures +/- 1.5db and the decay measurements are incredible. The tubes weren't that hard to make, and really weren't overly expensive, if anyone wants a hand drop me a line and we can hook up by phone. If you're ever in the DFW area, please feel free to get ahold of me and come by for a listen, it's pretty cool. Up next for it is 2 of those tube lights you see in the picture, but that change color on a slow phased cycle, I kinda want a light show sometimes [6] We'll probably do infinite baffle subs this summer as well.... Arthurs, What part of the metroplex are you in? I really want to talk to you about those prototype speakers. I went to their web site, some beautiful stuff. I think it is beyond my DIY ability, but would love to talk to you about them some more. Travis
arthurs
Travis, I'm in North Fort Worth (North of downtown and a little west of the Texas Motor Speedway) drop me a PM and I'll give you a shout if you like. Art
el jopez
Arthur, I promised that I would never venture into the DFW are again as the traffic is a nightmare. However, if give then opportunity to listen to your setup, I wouldn't think twice about heading down there. Anyone up for a road trip? arthurs
Let's pick a date and come on by! I'm actually far enough out that traffic isn't a big issue unless it's a race weekend...I live near the Speedway
