    • About a year or so ago, Pass released a revision to the  diy F5, called the F5M for Minimalist? This is supposed to accommodate the lack of available components, which will also allows it to run cooler, while inducing some 2nd harmonic distortion.    There appears to be a lot of positive feedback. One of the members at Diyaudio.com asked AI what speakers would be good with this and the Klipsch Heresy IV was recommended    I have received the F5M kit from Diyaudiostore, ordered the appropriate transformer, and just waiting for the chassis to become available.    Hoping to hear this sometime this year.
    • Rear speakers are good where they are, but both left speakers being int he corners are not ideal, but not sure what else you can do.  Rear Atmos is good, front Atmos is not ideal. They should be closer to the front, and even with the rears. Move them closer to the front mains, and not reflecting off the furniture.
    • Ha! Understood - I've had the same feeling at times.   Not a bad drive for me in this case, but all is well if it works out for some other well-deserving soul.   I love my Magnepans, but was very interested in these for an alternative listening experience.
    • Thanks Peter!  I actually did that before reading your reply.  Unfortunately, when disconnecting the bad tweeter, one of the terminals snapped.  I’ve done this sort of thing before so I was surprised when it happened.  I was more careful when disconnecting the good tweeter and was able to determine that the crossover is working properly. I ordered a working original tweeter diaphragm off the bay.  It should be here in about a week.  I’ll report back once it arrives.
    • It's not the Pilgrimage of old.  They just renamed the PWK Birthday Bash and the Chief Bonehead Class together.
    • just the ones around the perimeter first, then there's two that connect the power supply to the back. you'll also have to most likely cut some of the glue to get the board separated.
    • I tried attaching a video showing what it's doing (under the 2mb cap) but keep getting an error message. So yeah, I'm still getting a buzzing noise from this soundbar after replacing the power supply with the one that was recommended on Amazon. I took it apart the other night to double check the wiring, made sure nothing was touching etc. It didn't help. Still getting the buzzing. The only way to stop it is to unplug the soundbar. The buzzing comes from the reference speakers, the sub and the soundbar so the soundbar is broadcasting the sound to the rest of the speakers. I'm not sure what to do here at this point except look for another brand. Could it be a bad power supply from the manufacturer? Something else? I would really appreciate some assistance! @001, Any thoughts on what my issue might be?
    • Staying on topic…..
    • Hadn't heard about this one.  Hope you have a fantastic time! (as though you won't!)
    • Hi, I'm doing a 5.1.4 for the living room theater since I'm remodeling. The person who is following me made me put the speakers in these positions that I'll put below, do you think they're okay? The circles are the ones on the ceiling. I have doubts about the ones on the rear wall.. I had drawn them on the side walls behind the sofa, instead he told me to put them like this (back wall). The front right and left are at the end of the wall.   They are all in-wall and ceiling speakers.
