    • I've owned these speaker for over 5 years. I just had one seem like it was low on power or slightly muffled. I swap between two sets of speakers so maybe I hadn't noticed in the past. After swapping the one speaker between a tube and a solid state amp; I checked the jumpers and found the plastic nuts weren't tightened down. That fixed the issue!
    • What I was meaning was that Klipsch speakers will reproduce all of the distortion that is added with compression, peak clip compression, and all of the hundreds of other tricky sound geegaws they add to the original music track. JJK
    • Good day, How does the Klipsch RF7 iii compare to other Klipsch models, especially models in the heritage line?   I currently own a pair of Klipsch La Scala AL5 speakers in my main system, in a dedicated listening room/home theatre, with a pair of rp8000f ii in my living room.  I have owned the Heresy 4, the Forte 4 and the Cornwall 4.    I have never heard the RF7iii before, how does it compare to other Klipsch speakers? How much better do they sound compared to an RP8000f ii? Does it jut sound like a much bigger RP8000f ii or does it somehow improve on the RP8000f ii midrange. I love the bass reproduction on the RP8000f ii, and find them to be very fun speakers to listen to, but i find the midrange lacking, and they generally lack resolution, imaging  etc when doing more critical listening. The image lacks any sort of depth and has pretty average width between the speakers. Does the RF7 iii improve upon the imaging and resolution of the RP8000f ii. I would imagine that the components are higher quality given the price increase. Do they still have the problem that the RP8000f ii has where there is a massive dip in the frequency response between the woofers and the tweeter?    How do the RF7iii compare to something like a Forte 4 or a Cornwall 4? I obviously understand that the bass reproduction is going to be punchier and deeper, but how is the bass resolution? How much does the midrange lack compared to the heritage lineup? Does the imaging become more similar to a heritage speaker compared to the RP8000f ii?   Being that I am very familiar with the rest of the Klipsch line up, how would someone who is familiar with the RF7iii describe their presentation?   Thanks.
    • are you talking about moving the front speakers or the front ceiling speakers closer to the screen?
    • Another one of my favourite albums that when playing sends me to my youth in thought  A brilliant album  Note that I was the cool roadie for a band that played all Neil Young songs back in the 70s    Artist - Neil Young Title - Harvest     And because I’m on a roll I still would rather be on a beach and surfing the waves, than being on cyclone watch

    • @Chris A I see you are firm believer in the Xilica XP-8080 active crossover.  The XP-4048 is about $1,200 today.  With the increased price, is this still the active crossover you recommend?  Is there something equivalent today in the $500/$600 range?
    • Is there a reason to buy Russian 6P6S tubes from China (real or fake) instead of European vendors? I got a matched quad of 6P6S tubes for my 6V6 amplifier from a vendor that had US stock, but I would rather buy from Europe than China.
    • Waiting for the storm but hasn’t arrived yet, as it is moving at a snails pace  https://zoom.earth/storms/alfred-2025/#map=wind-speed/model=gfs   So it’s time for another album with a song about a storm    Artist - Doors Title - LA Woman
