  8. mmmmmmmmm......coffee.....yea it's good this morning for sure :-) Well what's up guys? I am sure glad this week is coming to a end! If you guys remember my posts from H€LL Monday. I got the van running last night. I orderd a cam sensor from Honda but it's on back-order, so I went with a aftermarket one. I don't like using aftermarket engine sensors but it's better than a non-running van. The brake calipers came in yesterday for my CRV, so a full front brake job for the CRV today (take care of that locked-up caliper that showed up Monday afternoon) Now on the list, I'm shopping for a new toolbox......well it's my tool cart that I push around the shop. I was trying to open one of the draws and it was stuck. There was a die grinder wedged between two draws and for the life of me I could not un-wedge it.....so one big yank on that stuck draw.......and I pulled right out of the cart. There is no fixing it. That also happend Monday. So it's time for a up-grade. Other than some B/S of life it's all good......I'm this side of the earth.....and none of my kids are sticking things in there butt to get high....... Take care all, check in later

  9. Morning Gang Looks like we are taking care of Joe, one thing this forum does well. Winter has come early, hope everyone is prepared. I should be filling my propane tanks this week for mancave cold evenings/mornings, it will be getting a bit on the nippy side soon. 55 in the cave and going for another cup-0-joe .....

  11. Apparently I am writing copy for Klipsch now. Based on what I submitted in response to a call for “garage sale” bargains, Klipsch published my story here http://www.klipsch.com/blog/craigslist-encounter-klipsch-heresy-speakers/ (although I don’t think I own the typos!). If those speakers could talk…. But of course they do sing!

  20. typical boys , they like cars, swords, dart guns, nerf, and music is rubbing off on them also. I have no idea why. wife had pandora on this AM b-4 they got on the bus, Guns-N-Roses came on Welcome to the Jungle, Joey did not want to go out to the bus till it went off its his favorite song of the day, yesterday was Bohemian Rhapsody. I have started to notice his brother Jacob dancing a bit and following lyrics Its fun to watch them getting older and getting more into music, They grew up with a system and anytime I was home and listening they were right there with dad. Joey as a baby would bounce endlessly on my lap while music played..............A memory I will always cherish is Both of them falling asleep on dads chest while listening to music, You guys are gonna make me emotional I raised 3 sons myself. My kids liked the same stuff as yours, and I will add 'dirt piles', 'mud', and 'big boxes'. When my boys saw any of those things, they dropped everything! One year we upgraded our kitchen with new cabinets and such. I took the boxes and some duct tape and made them a huge castle with secret rooms and stuff. They never enjoyed anything more they ever had including motorcycles etc. I love having boys. I was afraid I would have girls, and I wouldn't even know what to do...

  25. I was a "cash and carry" kid ever since I had a Detroit News paper route at 12 years old. My paper station was 3 blocks from a Klipsch dealer, so I rode my bike past the Khorns in the window every day for 2 years before I went in to buy my fist stereo, an jAmpeg cassette with tuner and two 6x9 speakers with whizzer cones. That is when I first heard Khorns and was blown away. I got interested in building my own speakers, which culminated in large Altec woofers, VOT/A7 mid horns, and EV T-35 tweeters (K77's) 9 years later. I also built, in 1976, what would be known as a CornScala today for a mono center and ordered all the Klipsch Papers and Dope from Hope papers with PWK's autograph on them. Sold those and got my first pair or raw birch Khorns brand new with a bank loan to establish credit after college and meeting Bob Moers, then President of Klipsch and Associates. I was using one false corner. Had those for over 30 years and sold them for more than what I paid brand new.

  29. Just a question Should a link to that thread be put somewhere else ? Like Ht or wherever, I ask because I just found it an hour go and had no idea and some people never leave there favorite section ? ALSO Thank You to everyone who is helping, well done, I had my wife read it and she was crying at the end from the situation and everyone's generosity.

  32. Joe, I have one son. He is 19 now and I envy you still having sons at their age. If there is a silver lining to your current situation, it is that you can spend time with them.

  33. Joe my kids are 13(triplets) and 10. They are also into music like that.I have taken them to see the B-52's (whom we met before the concert), Bon Jovi, Social Distortion (we were in the front row and got a guitar pick and drum stick from Mike Ness), Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, and The Brain Setzer Orchestra. Taking them to see Maroon 5 in March. Music has always been a way to connect with them. I also remember mine falling asleep on my chest doing the same. Santa would like to send a gift card for Toys R Us or any other store they like. Where should he send it?

  35. I understand how hard it is to take charity first hand but trust me in the end you will reflect back on it warmly. You've been around here a longtime and always been helpful. It's been done here for me twice once when my father passed away and during my wife's battle with cancer. I've never had a member say or do anything that made me feel anything but grateful. I suggest we all figure out a way to get you some help since you can obviously use it. PayPal is the easiest way and everyone can send is as a friend or family which is totally free. As far as I knowbtgere is no limit as to how much you can transfer to your checking account but it does take 3 or 4 days. If PayPal is a no go then folks could just mail you a check, MO or cash.

  36. Hey Joe, I don't even like you & I sent $50 to help out! We can't have a member selling off his last rig. It does my heart good to see the folks here on the Klipsch forums help out another member, sort of restores my faith in mankind. I hope your situation turns around quickly.

  42. I can chip in a Behringer BFD (DSP1124p) + monoprice rca-to-xlr cables. $100 + $25 shipping. Include rack ears and power cord, but not the original box.

  43. I have a phase linear amp, preamp and tuner. They work very well except you need to giggle the outputs on the amp to get a good connection when setting up. I will sell them all for $250 plus shipping with 100% of the proceeds going to Joe (you can Paypal him directly). They put out a good deal of power. I used them all summer with LS's in my garage and you could hear them 1/2 mile away at 60% volume. Let me know if you are interested. Write if you want pictures.
