Morning Gang Ah, i see 87 today, good project weather. This week has been Mr Crows Arm/Claws, painting, then painting again, 6 coats Min. Wifes dental pain working out better, done in stages, the only pain now is my wallet. Get your Coffee workin stiffs, pump up that SS, Nov i start sucking the Govt ***.

Sounds like an absolute blast, I'm quite envious. Rain miraculously hit again this morning. Of course it was at 2:30 AM and was accompanied by horrific close proximity lightening. At least we won't have to water today. I laid some more floor tile last night. 8 pieces left till grout woot! I'll get them cut tonight and try to finish them up Saturday. Wall texture is next. I'll be spraying it so there'll be a lot of masking off to do.

Mornin' folks .... moving a bit slow but all is well. Very good concert at Red Rocks last night ....Diana Krall put on a fine show with her own excellent group of musicians who were backed (on some numbers) by the Colorado Symphony. Nature's accoustics in that place are amazing. If you ever get a chance to go, please do it. Highly recommended. MKP ... thank you for sharing that story. Those of us who need wake-up calls tend to get them. The important thing is to heed that call ...and you did. Everyone have an excellent day and cheers!!

Evening gang... Just got in from working out....I'll be sore tomorrow for sure. So Chuck the hand thing went down like this....One night after alot of drinking and other stuff, I was driving my old Ford Bronco on the Baltimore beltway. From what I was told I was speeding and went across four lanes and hit a gas tanker truck on the side. When I hit the tanker truck I lost control of my truck and flipped it. The eye witness that saw it called my home after I got out of the hospital and that's what he told me. He told me he thought I would have been killed the way the truck flipped. Well my left hand went out the window and somehow got caught between the roof of my truck and the road. It ground away the top part of index finger past the 1st joint into the top part of my hand. The thumb got ripped off and the knuckle on my middle finger was so messed up it had to be fused. Also the end joint on my ring finger had to be fused. They removed the rest of the bone out of the index finger and my hand and folded the skin over the top part of my hand. So on the top part of my hand I have my finger prints....Yea you can laugh now...lol lol Now for the thumb...they put it back on and fused the joint. They said if it does not heal they would take my big tow and put it on my hand for a thumb...It did heal...I really didn't want my tow on my hand... So I'm really lucky to be alive....when this happen to me I was going through alot of shitt, I was in the middle of a divorce, and I knew I had a big time drinking/drug problem. After that happend I changed my life. Stopped all the bullshitt and started to be a good man...cuz I was an a**hole. When you look in the mirror and you don't like what your looking at...it's time to change....that was 25 years ago.. I still get my head up my a** now and then....but I have a good wife that will pull it out for me and set me straight.. Good night all.. catch ya in the AM.. MKP :-)

Afternoon gang..... Alittle slow at the shop today....just finished a wheel bearing job on an old CRV....it was a rear wheel bearing...1st one I have done in the rear. Came apart and went back together with really no problems. It's hit and miss sometimes cuz I'm in the rust belt. Got one small job for the used car guys...then I'm outta here.... I'm starting training again tonight at a new facility.....I've taken the summer off.....I should take a bucket with me, probably throw up...lol lol Christ, really cool that you get to see your brother....enjoy the visit....I have no brother's or sister's, but all my family still live's in England......talking about my uncle and aunt and cousins....so when they come to visit it's really cool. Had a great time this weekend with Wakejunkie. We found a new rope swing on Lake Guntersville. Will post a highlight video when I get the footage edited but here is a quick clip of my first attempt at doing a 1 1/2 backflip on a rope swing.

That is correct. I usually wet the rag pretty good in one spot and put the powder directly on the rag. Once you start to rub it around it will make a light paste. Keep it wet and keep applying cleanser in the old wax on wax off motion.

If you really look closely at that trailer, in the initial face shot of SLJ, the music builds to a crescendo and his face doesn't come into perfect focus until the sound peaks. Pure Tarantino Awesomeness! All I can say is... Continuous tone film based movie making is F*cking awesome!

Bloddy Mary sounds good with that Costco grey goose Cruising the local Cl found a shop sale in the morning, guys got a metal lathe and i need a small one. Earlier this year when i got the Hanger in reno, i packed a full truck of shop items to store every trip to reno. Did not think i would be needing a lathe, so the Clausing was the first up there, i can do anything with a 30K lathe. Now im needing just a small POS, for hobby work. Time for a Libation, Cheers

Yeah, unfortunately I am having space issues with large speakers and need to sell at least 1-2 pairs. I also have a pair of Thiel CS5i's I am selling as well as some Mirage M1s and Large Magnepans as well. Might think of keeping the Khorns if the Thiels sell as they are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Ok, I know when you were reading my other post and thinking I was being silly trying to give you an idea it was going to be a big difference, I will now say seeeee But really it sounds like you got a steal and I am really glad you like the new sound, it's more than just the extra bass, and I say this really liking the Heresy. Sorry I can't help with the questions, but that is still 98 db with one watt with more power to spare. I don't think you would hear a 2 db increase at 98 db, not enough to worry about, it could be different drivers/horns over the years ? ( 98 is pretty high in the speaker world ) As far as cleaning them, I don't remember if there oiled of clear ? If clear just wipe off with a damp cloth, if oiled they can be oiled with a number of different oils, I use Boiled Linseed oil others use many different things, you will get different opinions. Really glad your going to not rush into any changes, get to know the sound as is first there is always time for a crossover improvement later. You are totally right. I was not expecting this big a difference. They are amazing speakers. They just crush my Heresy and Vandersteen speakers in everyway imaginable. I like the Heresy but that midrange hump they have would get annoying. The Cornwall seem much more coherent and alive from top to bottom. So far I really love the midrange they have and can't imagine wanting to change out to a different horn. Spent all day listening to records and was just amazed. They are very revealing speakers though and I just realized tonight that my DSD mastered Beggars Banquet is actually a little flat and lifeless sounding compared to my older Decca Stones albums. That and I am definitely going to have to invest in a good record cleaning machine. I think my next purchase is going to be that VPI16.5. Thanks for the advice
