  1. Glad to hear Jackson is home...been in my thoughts and prayers as of late.... Guy hasn't been able to convince his wife on the HT setup yet...gonna give it a little more time since he has literally come down two more times to watch/listen (and maybe partake in a few cold beverages.....I've got a previous "Jack" drinker now hooked on Tom Sims 6 year..) Had a good conversation with my son last night about the Civic....he wants to help work on it but it's not what he really wants....he wants a K5 blazer like the one I sold after getting divorced....guess I never knew that he loved it so much (not that I would have given him a 535hp vehicle at 16)....so we'll get it all fixed up and sell it to fund another K5 build.....can do squarebody Chevys in my sleep...lol

  12. REALLY? My brother just shows me a piece of junk mail that he got from a place called “LoanMe.” I’ve seen their commercials on TV. They’ll give you a $10,000 loan and charge you 187% interest. 84 monthly payments of over $800 to repay them…whoever was desperate enough to accept this loan just put themselves in a heck of lot worse condition. Talk about preying on a person that is already in trouble. Disgusting. I told him to write them a nice letter telling them if they’ll reduce the interest rate to 100% then he give it further consideration. I also said start the letter, “Dear Loan Shark."

  17. Kendall, are you taking him to a specialized children's hospital? The difference in care between our local hospitals and TX children's hospital is night and day. Most states have a specialized children's hospital I would think. I'm glad he's home.

  22. It is, I thought I was going blind even with glasses. Every time we have dealt with BB we swore it would never happen again, but after 30 days and 2 hours of driving it worked out, a new 65" 4K TV, I can see again it's a miracle ! Never again with BB, sure hope we don't need the warranty and have to deal with them again.

  27. Oh SOOOO this about me too I have a pathological inability to prevent words like Really? and Seriously? and DUH? and PU-LEZE! from spilling out of my mouth when I hear certain things. And then there's the occasional B@##$4!T that slips out. That one is ALWAYS popular. This affliction has not only kept me out of meetings, I'm pretty sure it's cost me more than one job.

  30. Discussed it with my fornication source over the weekend and we've decided to go ahead and have the whole car done....some dings dents and such repaired and complete repaint....I'm going to do the majority of the body work with my friend doing the chassis work and spraying the car for me....he thinks I can get it all done for under $1000 Car has super low miles on it and is now running like a top averaging 34mpg.....may make it a father/son project and fix it up for him to take in 2 years when he turns 16

  31. Matt ♪ ♫ ♪, I use the "Multi Channel Stereo" setting on my Marantz pre/pro some of the time. It merely connects the rear and fronts exactly as you have described, plus sends a slightly attenuated mix of L + R to the front Center channel. It sounds better than straight 2 channel unless there are a lot of sharp, tight transients (e.g., timpani). In the latter case, my front Klipschorns are so much cleaner and purer and tighter and more impressive in the bass, that the Heresy II rears degrade the sound a bit. By the way, if you set up a true multichannel system (e.g., 5.1 or 5.0 -- "Multi channel In" on my pre-pro) multichannel SACDs, etc. would sound great. Some make more use of the rear channels than others,

  33. That's funny, just got back to reading here a little, been busy. You know how much fun it is to dissemble the complete 2Ch and separate HT setup and move it all out the way for changes. all done with NO music. I forgot how many wires and cables it takes to have it all work, it's crazy. The good part was it was all done to redo the entertainment cabinet "thing" to make it work for a new TV. The old CRT rear projection TV had the cabinet going around the top of the TV, the new TV will sit on top after being redone.......It's all about done and the music is playing again. When it's done I will put before and after pics.

  44. I did the same thing for my mothers last 5 years, the hardest part was making sure she didn't feel like a burden, which she would sometimes say, and keeping her occupied and included in everything. She was in a wheelchair because of loss of part of one leg with a broken arm which wouldn't heal because of diabetes, the hardest part was moving her back and forth from chair to everywhere she need to be, like bathroom, bed, sofa and car. She did well and never complained and seemed to like being around everyone and all the grandkids. We did the best we could to make her feel normal, well as normal as my mother could be. I would say overall everything went well.

  45. I know how you feel, ours are Oak and I just oil them, it's really tough to get in and oil everything. It's partly why they have been oiled only twice since I built them and really need to be oiled again but It's no fun so it get's put off. I did get my granddaughter to dust inside them once, she is tiny and done a good job, they really need this again also.
