I rolled a truck on the Baltimore beltway..... I was all drunk and "highed" up......My index finger was ground away....the thumb was ripped off....my middle finger middle joint is fused and my ring finger end joint is fused..... They put the thumb back on....but it also is fused... Oh and the truck I rolled was a really nice 71 Ford Bronco.... it "was" nice..... Just glad I'm not 6' under MKP :-)8 points

Steve, sorry to hear about the co-worker. On the thermos thing, I just picked up a stainless steal Stanley. We will give it a chance.7 points

The skin that you see next to my thumb....where my index finger should be is the bottom of my index finger....the top got ground away and they folded the bottom skin over....so I have finger prints on the top of my hand....lol lol Hey ya gotta laugh it's funny...... MKP :-)6 points

Still good morning from the far northwest. It's my Friday this week and I hope you all have a great Easter Weekend. Sorry to hear of Valerie Klipsch's passing.5 points

I had phantom feelings of my index finger for years....also the skin felt "funny" for quite some time. It's been like this now over half my life...so this is just the way it is..... it bothers me sometimes when it's cold out... but other than that it's all good. Over the years I've broken the fuse in the thumb twice and the fuse on my ring finger once...Let me tell ya...that shitt hurts...... MKP :-)5 points

Sorry to hear that Steve. Was it an accidental death? Good vibes sent your way.5 points

Not really funny but not as big a deal as if your luck was not as good that day, you are lucky to be alive, it could have also been much worse physically and had to deal with much more since that day. I guess the only thing to laugh about is you got a second chance to get old, a good thing.4 points

I like those better, and the price is half that of the yeti, the ice chest looks like it's made better. Wish we would have found them before we bought ours, the lowball cup is half the price of the yeti and it comes with the lid which is separate for the yeti. Thanks for the link4 points
-
Well at those prices on some of those things a review is needed, I have a small yeti cup the lowball and the wife has the larger one but there is no way i will pay $300+ for an icechest, do not use one where I would need ice to last days, and I'm cheap. I did etch yeti my lowball cup but also put my initials on the back so if I'm around Klipsch people it will not disappear. It works great for coffee or and adult drinks. Check these out Rtic coolers Guy at work swears by them but then again he is a Marine.4 points

I got some Walnut Belles off Craigslist. Decent shape. All Klipsch drivers and horns. AA networks. I'm sorry to say....as much as I love Klipsch, I don't enjoy their sound. Pulled out the networks and entire baffle assembly with horns. Gonna replace XO's and Top Hat horn and drivers without ruining ability to convert back. All Fastlane and ALK here. ALK had some old extra Klipsch-style black fabric that I will attach soon. I assembled this new baffle. Fastlane tweeter horn and Midrange horn. B & C drivers. ALK networks. This will slide right inside the top hat.3 points

My condolences to all. The legacy left behind is more than just a legacy of sound. ***All of us here are the continuing legacy. Some of us have met, built friendships starting around the Klipsch brand. Bonds have been formed.*** Respect and love to all3 points

I have one just like that, it was hard to find in the 2 quart size, but will last forever, I hope. I had the old glass models, and like many it broke, so it was replaced with the new model with SS insides. Probably not the best for keeping temps but there tough.3 points

I have 2 brothers that use this old school thermos….http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-Classic-Vacuum-Bottle-Hammertone/dp/B000FZX93K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1458755018&sr=8-3&keywords=stanley+thermos+cup3 points

I remember that my dad would have a glass lined thermos bottle in his lunch box for years and occasionally, he would come home pissed because his thermos suffered a broken “filler.” However, in those days the glass filler was replaceable and it was off to Sears that evening for a replacement filler. How about a "Bullwinkle in Space" thermos or maybe a "Flintstones" thermos? Given all of those great selections above, I actually have a couple of sizes of this thermos with the vacuum insulation between the double-wall of stainless steel and liked them so well, I bought the vacuum insulated travel mug too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017IHRNM?ie=UTF8&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&tag=ezvid02-20&creativeASIN=B0017IHRNM http://www.amazon.com/Thermos-Stainless-Travel-Handle-Midnight/dp/B002PY7AYI/ref=pd_sim_79_15?ie=UTF8&dpID=41a3n7ec6xL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1H6T56DBZD72DXKV3ZXF .3 points

Those are cool, I remember when I was a kid you could get a set, matching lunchbox and small thermos. Just think if back then you just bought up sets like that and some of the older toys, it would be a pretty good investment at today's collector prices.2 points

Thanks Keith, but I actually bought the original sales literature for the KSP 300 and KSP 400 series off of Ebay. It is obvious that Klipsch put a lot of engineering time into these speakers. I wonder why they were discontinued ? Who knows. The KSP's retailed for around $3450 & $1995. That was pretty costly back then. Hookup could be complicated as there were lots of options. Someone has made a fortune selling high priced free literature over the years. If I was a little more chicken-schit I might sell some of what I have. But I give it away. Enjoy your speakers. The tweeters here are the same ones in my Cornscalas. VERY happy with those. I have the Fastlane Conitrac tweeters here w/o a driver. I plan to try those out with something else in the future. I have had 5 different Fastlane horns. Good stuff if you love tractrix.2 points

Just seen this thread and read it all, so I need to join in and say Welcome, I think your in for a big surprise once you get to listen. Just remember it will take a little adjusting to get the best sound but everyone here can help. This will be nothing like your last speakers, this is going to be good.2 points

Mine looks just like that with instructions but maby a little darker green, it says A9450H half gallon, it's not in perfect shape but works great and tough, it has a couple of dings on the bottom corner from being bumped.2 points

I've got a couple of women who hang around here who seem to think ceiling mount, tiny Bose or anything 1/15th the size of my Belles were invented solely to provide as good as or improved sound. Drives me crazy!2 points

I have one just like that, it was hard to find in the 2 quart size, but will last forever, I hope. I had the old glass models, and like many it broke, so it was replaced with the new model with SS insides. Probably not the best for keeping temps but there tough. I think in the 1950s and 1960s that my Dad preferred the glass because creating enough vacuum wasn’t really that well perfected yet and without enough vacuum between the stainless steel, coffee just didn't stay hot as long as the glass liner, especially in the Northern winters working outside. Of course, the new vacuum technology is not indestructible either as I dropped my thermos once and it broke the vacuum seal and without that layer of insulation created by the vacuum, the coffee no longer stayed hot for very long. Had to replace the entire thermos, no replacing just a liner. I was looking for a coffee maker with an insulated carafe instead of the hot plate at one of those coffee forums and was amazed at how several posting in the threads would continually whine that they didn’t want to “pre heat” the carafe for best performance. In that respect, although the level of vacuum today is much better creating a better layer of insulation, nothing has changed in pre heating stainless steel and as a reminder the instructions to pre heat were stamped on the bottom of the thermos too. The thermos even had a reminder to wash the cork with boiling water after use. .2 points
