  1. First post, new here Second owner. These have been sitting in an unoccupied house since mid 1980. All were face down when stored. Brought them home, tested and then cleaned them up. Transported by trailer to a party spot and rocked the shoreline at the lake all day (Great Day For Sure). They absolutley are the real deal. Almost 100 percent sure that everything is original with no mods. I made the logo plates on front of bass bins and added the casters. Was limited on pics here so just two at this point ( I have more). One of speaks and one on lake day. I really want to keep but no room in 2 car garage lol. Was really hoping that they would go to a old school band or some venue that would keep them alive for what they are. $4500 obo Located Central Coast of California 805-712-2917 Text (Ray) Not posted anywhere else at this point, wanted to keep in the Klipsch family......

  6. Hey guys, Sorry to unearth this, but I am currently trying to get rid of a fuzzy sound in one of my tweeters. I just bought a set of 3.5's at a Goodwill for $100. I won't go all into it, but I really just need help with the wiring. They were both wired differently. To keep it brief, how do you wire these? The PCB has WW and TT and then two other wires coming off it. I assumed the WW were the positive and negative leads that go directly to the woofer, but one cabinet has the W negative running to the input! I was confused by this, but tried it. It works, but still getting the fuzzy cracking in my tweeter at higher volumes. I have no idea if the wiring could affect things like this, but I have tried almost everything else besides buying a new xo. Thanks for any help on how to get these wired correctly and any other advise is also welcomed. I removed the tweeter, swapped it, got a new woofer and even listened to the tweeter outside of the cabinet, so I know it's not the cabinet or the tweeter/woofer. Thanks again!

  8. Hayley Williams I believe the recording companies wanted to take her solo out of high school. She insisted in staying with her High School band Paramore, obviously successful. Like all of the good female vocals, her voice exudes fertility. Maybe there is a govt grant for the study of estrogen and voice. Sirens Song..... I hope she took some time off to drop some babies, shame if we lose her DNA...... I'll check out her solo LPs 2, hope it's more of the acoustic stuff that showcases her voice

  9. WHEN HAIR SPRAY WAS AFFORDABLE 80s In the context of people spending money to see Devo Amiee Mann was apparently in Tuesday morning oops Til Tuesday, a punk band Charted #8 on this song Who said girls weren't covered with ink in the 80s Whatever appeal her looks may have had, the tats would have stopped me at the knee caps. Recent photos the tats are gone is removal less painful than getting them.

  11. If you are into Basie and swing, ballroom etc Check out WDCB FM on Saturdays, one program after another all day. Most of the programs are available on demand in their archive section, playlists too. Sometimes you have to chase the program recording to it's source originator as many programs are syndicated.

  12. In the never ending search for something worth listening to, I sometimes sample 100 tracks, and or CDs and come up empty. There are artists that sell a lot of songs, that aren't compelling to me. I was searching for The look of love Krall, but didn't really like it. Turns out Myers used the song in the Austin Powers Trilogy. Formed his own spoof band ming tea for the soundtrack. Susanna Hoffs Bangles Alumni, did a pretty good Dusty Springfield. Solo between Bangles and Austin Powers with limited success, track below cover of a Badfinger tune with Aimee Mann. I know musicians who rave about Mann, but for me not compelling. I like this track, if they did an entire LP together it might be interesting. The camera loves Hoffs' face, movie star photogenic face, not a swimsuit model. An owl has moved into my backyard at night, in case I lose track of time. Rabbits and chipmonks once abundant are now in short supply. A Red Tail Hawk moved in a few weeks ago and spent days singing to attract a mate, and either ate or drove off my once abundant bird population. Even the gold finches have bugged out. AMs are a few hours of reading and writing so the brain doesn't go mash potatoes, completely.

  17. I have 2 Klipsch KSP400, and while doing a phase test, I noticed I can not get the midtown and the bass in phase at the same time. What can cause this, and how to I resolve the problem? I use single wiring of the of the cables to the speakers. Could bi-wiring with different phase correct the problem? I tested the amplifier with the same cable on another speaker, and that went fine.

  18. I left my house again , can´t stand it there anymore because of continuing troubble w/the wife. Living by a good friend of mine in a neighbor town for a while. Due to my accident at work approx. 2 month ago I can´t work and beeing ill still. Have to look for an appartment as intended a couple of month ago. When I´m in better physical condition I have to find a new job as well. Things aren´t that funny here. Happy that my friend welcomed me with open arms and heart, he´s got a brilliant home audio system as well . This friendship is more than 40 years old . If the accident at work had not happened, I would have a new apartment long ago. My marriage is now finally over, I had in the summer still hope that my wife and I find together again, this hope I have now finally buried. You will hear less from me in the coming months, but I'll keep you up to date, I promise 🙂

  19. Hi All, So tonight I noticed one of my kg3.2 tweeters is much quieter than the other. Switched them and it is the tweeter, not the crossover or amp. Swapped the diaphragms and seems to be the motor. Thoughts? Ideas? Tweeter is the k-84-k

  25. Anything with moving parts is far more likely to fail Thus the transport in a CD player is subject to failure and too expensive to repair if you can find the parts Stand alone DAC has zero moving parts and will far outlive any DVD player Invest in a stand alone DAC, they have high-volume low-cost production and near zero failure rates A USB powered DAC has no power supply and could last 25-30 years if kept cool laying the device on a small tile or glass top works as a heat sink could go all out and use the gooey thermal paste.

  38. That’s what I initially thought, but when it comes to the mixing engineer, and to a lesser extent the mastering engineer, there is a debate going on right now as to what if any impact the acoustics of the rooms where this is done (control room of studio, or smaller dedicated mixing room, or even a home studio) and the monitors used result in better/worse overall recordings. Floyd Toole discusses this as part of his Circle of Confusion, in his book and his presentations, and he has been advocating for standards for both room acoustics and studio monitors. However, he says that more research needs to be done. Sean Olive has also written about this, and the topic pops up at AES from time to time as to whether standards would improve the overall quality of recordings. As I say, it’s a matter of debate at AES, the Academy of Recording Sciences and elsewhere as to what, if any impact standards would have.

  42. 1064066 is the part number for the Bluetooth version of that unit built for EU. If you use a US version in EU, you do take the chance that your adaptor will fail you. Thus, sending 240V to a 120V unit. It will not like this. You may be lucky and they may have a fuse...but if not, you may need a new unit.

  44. I did not check, but the woofer / compression slot looks too big. With it going all the way out to the wedg/guide, the edge of the woofer basket will have to seal that point. I am not sure it will. I noticed this in the drawing. Without that slot the right size, you will not get the right compression ratio and thus not the right output.
