  4. Me too! lol I hope not. lol All I've done for the past couple weeks it try to sleep. Then run on fumes which leads to marathons in the crib. Then it's a repeat. Crazy. I did the same thing when I worked. Had to keep the employee's on their toes. If I walked by 'em noddin out I'd meander up to a coffee machine and bring them a cup of extra strong black. Slip back that way and wake 'em up and give 'em a coffee. If they'd moved and were actually busy I'd drink it myself. lol Couldn't really burn 'em for sleepin cause they'd counter w/I'm on my lunch break. lolol You'd have to ask Patti that one but kinda maybe. I know where she wound up. lol He swapped stuff w/everyone just like they did him. Beck, Page, George, Jimi all family.

  7. I am just so happy i can hear music again! And birds and all the other noises around me. Last week i had to give my aids to the hearing aid repair for couple of days and that was honestly really challenging for me. I think i am not going to do that mistake again and will always have a plan b in the future.

  8. AAAHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!! wanna return to the rehab clinic šŸ˜‚, I mean it was like making holidays there , three weeks vacation ! Full room cleaning service, laundry service, 3 meals a day like in an international hotel kitchen , swimming pools, waterbed hydraulic massages, mudd bathes, sporting centre and so on . IĀ“m really missing that since IĀ“m back home . Now I have to take care of these things on my own again . Okay ...IĀ“m biking , my next public swimminghall isnĀ“t that far away, IĀ“m waiting for my confirmation for the sports excersise clubĀ“s time schedule , than I can start up there as well. After the easter holidays IĀ“ll start to play tabel tennis again, the trainee halls are closed till april 8th. LotĀ“s of papwerworks to manage in view to the upcoming possible retirement procedere. Will take up to six month till final decisions are done. So itĀ“s better that I shouldnĀ“t complain, IĀ“ll have to make the best out of it. A bit of spring time feeling here today ..shall be 60 F in the afternoon and the sun is watching through the clouds as well.

  17. Rode with these guys today, wish all my cd's sounded as good as my CAKE compilation from the 90s! Off-key, Off Kiltered It always seemed premeditated to me with what's bouncing on the sofa! I'd bet that they made Jerry smile too

  18. Took a ride into town today, 40 min one way! My gas station finally raised their prices, got to get another one now! Changed out the music from Dio and Faith No More to these guys for the trip! Jelly Jelly came on when I was dipping and climbing in & out of the hills & serious curves that I've gotten used to on a couple numbered state roads!

  19. As I always say, all music is subjective. I took lessons with Joe Morello for eight years. He is considered one of the greatest jazz drummers if all time, and I learned a ton from him. That being said, his playing is just not my cup of tea. It doesn't take away from the talent and knowledge though. Same thing with speaker choice I suppose. Some folks hate Klipsch...I love them.

  20. @Abomb Bobby Jarzombek School Quite technical. clean notes and soft touch. Not my kind of drummer. He is probably one of the best. He seems young in this video. he has certainly grown and developed since. for that I have no doubt. Issue if any. Moves in a straight line. Start and stops are generally same. Notes are not 4/4 or subsets of that throughout music. timing alterations of soundscape and backwards and forwards skills are underutilized here. biggest issue if any. He isn't jamming. He is pausing waiting for a note to start hitting things. Traveling in sound is getting off to it. Flowing. His is brickish. again technical and cold. IMHO. Mark Zonder - side by side (Fates Warning) Opeth - Master's Apprentice or even Pearl Jam - 10 That album has what no other PJ album has. IMHO I mean to feel it and get there, drum playing. Listen to the first 10 seconds of King Diamond - Abigail. You know the journey you are about to go on.šŸ¤

  21. How is the album? I hate to ask. Those guys are from FATES WARNING. Nice to see! For the longest time my favorite band hands down. For whatever reason John left the band. For whatever reason Master Drummer Mark Zonder left the band. I just hit YOUTUBE. Heard a few pieces. Mixed feelings. šŸ˜‘

  24. Cool so, are you going to make seller an offer on the pair? Looking pretty good from here. Original crossover looks like, probably sound good, and alright until you decide to refresh them at cost to you. Welcome! @luca78

  25. Let me start by saying that I live in Italy, and here the requests for these speakers are much higher than in America. the seller asks for 1200 euros....which seems too much to me!.

  31. Sorry I missed you Bruce, that is even awful to just hear about. Short staffed on weekends is what someone else told me that overheard the whole thing and got the chuckles. Yep things are different around here. Darn youngins don't listen anywhere now. They're self absorbed, righteously indignant, and have the attention span of gnats. Palpably rude to folks older than they are. Thanks a ^#$@ing lot public schools !! Somebody teach them how to use a telephone please!!! I answer Hello! They say hello and then are quiet. I've told a couple they called me and should state the purpose of the call and identify themselves. A couple have snickered at that or almost chuffed like a dog. I've stopped trying to educate them, just count down 3,2,1 and they hang up = get blocked I'll be glad when this pain is over, be in an all-round better mood too! -rant over-

  32. Happy to see my basic G-Shock go off only few secs per year. It is a bit disappointing that it is made in China (not even Thailand), but accuracy is more than good for a quartz. It has not been abused nor under water, but it has seen many bike rides on rough roads. Plastic/rubber material is not as good as I remember but I can not complain for the asking price.

  33. Hi, Thanks, went in today, and wiped on some 303 Protectant on the rubber surrounds. Suppose to keep or help the rubber stay supple and was a tip from a Stereo Electronic Tech. In a few months will take a soft cloth and wipe everything down and should look even better. It is good when things all come together!

  40. Clearaudio Concept Wood w MaestroV2 or the VPI Prime Scout with Sumiko BP Evolll? I'm leaning towards the VPI but really because it looks cooler. TT is going to feed a McIntosh phono pre and a McIntosh MA5200 integrated to a pair of Cornwall lll's.

  41. So here's what I did. Bought the Mcintosh MA5200 integrated and the mp100 phono preamp. A huge leap into the higher end. Phono stage will be here tomorrow, amp not until Monday........... Coupled with the above will be my Rega RP3 with an OrtoBlack, OPPO UPD205 and the Cornwall lll's.

  42. In the market for a new integrated amp for my Cornwall lll's. Anybody have experience with a Prima Luna Dialogue Premium or a Luxman 590AX? Did a search out here and found some good info about amps to use with the Cornwalls but not with those two particular ones. Source is mainly CD and vinyl. Cornwalls are in a pretty large room that also has a pool table in it. So it's a pretty large room... Anyway, good to be back out here and any input is appreciated...

  43. As the tonearm on my Rega RP3 gets closer to the center of the platter hum noise increases. It's loud enough that you know something is not right. When the tonearm is at rest, there is no audible hum at all. It is hooked up to a Rogue Cronus. The cartridge is the Elys2. All the wiring is pretty clean. Source cables and power cables are seperated etc. All is plugged into the same surge protector. CD and TT are the only sources hooked up to the amp. Turntable sits on a wooden shelf above the amp, about 10 or 12 inches above it. This is a new problem, the TT hasn't always done this. Any thoughts?????

  44. Given that I'm a 2 channel stereo guy; If money and space were not an issue and my speakers could handle it, yes, I would do the mono blocks. Not sure if the cost benefit is there in a home theatre setup though...............but those mono blocks are very useful and flexible when it comes to stereo.

  45. I'm not a home theatre nut but I do own Emotiva equipment. It is very good quality stuff. Adding a seperate amp will improve the sound a lot. The Onkyo won't have to manage so much. If I was going the 5 channel route I would buy Emotivas 3 channel amp and the 2 channel amp as that would give me more flexability down the road.

  46. Thanks to all for your input. Yes, back in the day 250wpc was unheard of. Back then my 65wpc Kenwood integrated amp powering JBL Decades was a very nice system. Anyway, thanks again to everyone who chimed in, I'll follow up after the Cornwalls arrive. Suppose to be here Monday. Can't wait................. I'm sure I'll be dancing.
