  1. Well, comparing to the Cornwalls is not exactly fair......I actually have my H4s on top of La Scalas which are sitting a bit out from corners. The H4s definitely benefit from that setup. I am powering them with a Mcintosh MAC4100 which is more than enough.
  2. I currently have B&C DE-75 8P mounted on the K510 horns on my KPT-904s. Would these be a significant upgrade, and would they even be appropriate, and fit?
  3. All I can say is that my Heresy 4s are terrific and highly recommended. They are perfect for a smaller secondary system. Where are you located?
  4. I have purchased several laptops from @avguytx in years past, and have always been happy with the quality of the unit, and the excellent packing for shipping. And, a laptop can certainly be loosely considered an audio related item, since many people stream music through them.
  5. I guess it's not surprising that some who frequent here have no concept of the current market.
  6. Apparently, they aren't missing many sales opportunities if hundreds of people are willing to wait a year. Scroll though the real time build sheets and see that folks from all over the world are ordering. I have no problem waiting for a unit that is a very high quality build, has a lifetime warranty, has excellent options to customize for whatever a customer would like, and where the owner of the company will actually take the time to speak with you on the phone, or via email. I spoke with Steve for over a half hour before I ordered where I described my room acoustics, my speakers, music choices, etc, etc. and he was more than willing to listen and make a recommendation.
  7. Forget these ugly, overpriced Khorns and get a nice pair of La Scalas. Agree with @rplace.
  8. Are they older or newer ProMedia? Not sure of the reputation of the newer models, but the older models (>5 years) had numerous issues. I had the same problem with my older set, and it finally died.
  9. Perhaps you could post your results/thoughts here?
  10. Is that a KT-150, or are you just happy to see me?
  11. Highly recommend you communicate directly with Roy Delgado, Chief Engineer for Klipsch. He is Chief Bonehead on the forum You can message him directly on the forum..
  12. I have a plastic tote full of Aerovox cans of various values if that gentleman (or anyone else) is interested. They are all tested for capacitance and ESR.
  13. There might be a very slight "enhancement" as a result of taking the zener's out of the circuit, but they certainly aren't needed considering the drivers you are now using.
  14. If you are not a bass heavy listener, then you don’t need subs with La Scala‘s. I have had many pairs of La Scala‘s over the years, and still do, and I have never used subs. I don’t miss the boom and the mud…

Get a restored Fisher 400 or 500C or 800 tube receiver. Restored.......You can likely find one at your budget or a little bit more. Believe me, it will be worth it.
  16. It would be a serious mistake to discount room treatment and placement. Sound absorption, furniture, reflective surfaces all play a part in a good sounding room. There is a lot of discussion on these issues in the architectural part of this forum and elsewhere.
  17. I guess it depends on whether you want to stay with solid state or try tubes with them. On the tube side, I would highly recommend a RESTORED Fisher 500C, or a RESTORED Scott integrated like an LK-72 or 299B/C. They all sound great with H3s.
