    EdgarHorn Titans.

Before I heard the 1502 and 1802 this was the best sub I had ever heard with horns. Of course Bruce Edgar was a proponent of Tractrix and friend to Roy and PWK.
  2. I don't but I am very interested. I'm restoring a Kenwood KW-220. It has a bevy of gremlins. I'll ask around..
  3. True!!!! If your sitting in the music room average levels around 85-95db on 104-107db 1w1m speakers you be coasting.
  4. Luck of the draw I'm afraid. I was at a real mexican restauraunt ordered roasted stuffed jalapenos the girl said they are hot I said I know I've had this before and she said yes but the kitchen wants you to know they are hot hot. I stupidly ordered the roasted jalapenos. As I took the first bight I notice the entire kitchen staff has walked out to see me take a bite. One bite and it was the hottest pepper I have ever had. I turned red started dripping in swet and got tunnel vision. The kitchen sent me a pitcher of water and tortillas. When a kitchen says it is hot now I listen.... How the hell does a jalapeno get that hot........
  5. I listen to 1/2 to 1 wpc on several amplifiers and have not caused any damage to Belles, Khorns, and Jubilees. That being said the power supplies are huge and DIY if that matters.
  6. I love the Scotch Bonnet sauce I've had in the Caribbean. It is difficult to have a hot sauce that is also tastey but they do a great job. Pineapple, Mango, Scotch Bonnets, garlic and mustard
  7. Step 1. get the biggest speaker you can fit into room Step 2. enjoy If the room is a compromise why should the speaker?
  8. I've had the phizer and so have all our close friends. Out of everyone I was the only one to suffer side effects. I was extremely sleepy for two days. I'd do it again. Phizer announced the vaccine is good up to a year. The anti-vaxxers, anti-sciencers, and conspiracy spreaders is disgusting. I feel we need to bring back the fairness doctrine or fair and balanced news act. Truth needs to reign supreme once again.
  9. Unlike the other brands listed the Klipsch Heritage line is the one of the few maybe only that has been in constant production. There are tons of original spec models on the market still. The others need to be revived because they truly went the way of the dinosauer.
  10. I love my music server. The MacMini actually has a optical audio connection so I got toslink from my EAD DAC to music server. Never used a fancy cable it sounds better than I though possible for a music server. I also use it for Tidal....
  11. After watching Roy at the last Bonehead class discuss crossovers there is more to it than it seems. You are using drivers with the A/AA that were never used with it. The drivers you are using are great but not exactly the same as what was used orginally. Then there is something to be said for Klipsch QC. Not trying to be a debbie downer just been there got the t'shirt. I listen to Belles everyday and love them but are stock.
  12. Not sure what your expecting. Belles are good to the 50's. Also DIY crossovers are hard I don't care what anyone says.
  13. I'd keep internals the same and just upgrade the crossover parts that need it.
  14. The very wealthy will buy real authentic WE300B tubes not some half baked replicas.
  15. You mean the modern rebranded correct? Major difference beteen vintage and modern. I wish they couldn't even use vintage brand labels on modern tubes. It feels like a lie to me..
  16. The new Jubilee is state of the art in horn design. You can not go wrong. I predict once the first impressions start coming out it will be cemented in history as one of the greatest horn loaded loudspeakers. The Jubilee that was first available from the commercial line and it bested the Khorn. Now they are releasing the Jubilee in the consumer line and it has bested the first version of the Jubilee. Neither of these are small acheivments. I am going to enjoy watching this unfold this year.
  17. I think more of the you can make something from a recipe but technique does not translate as well. I keep in mind the old GZ34 rectifiers. They make modern versions but they pale in comparison to originals. I don't even bother anymore I just use up my stock of amperex gz34s. Emission Labs and Elrog are examples of how costly new production tubes can be but they also do new tube designs. I have a pair of EML mesh 45s and they are wonderful. I'd like to try some of the Elrogs. Even if it is illogical on some levels I'm glad there are people out there passionate enough to build modern tubes. Maybe after enough work they will get the techniques down.
  18. Just go to ebay and bid on a few tubes. You can't go wrong with any vintage gz34s. Something like these. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-Mullard-GZ34-5AR4-Rectifier-Tubes-Very-Strong-Balanced/373483825952?hash=item56f55eeb20:g:6mcAAOSwnBdgQF9W
  19. I just don't buy it. You just can't crank up some machinery original or not and claim they can match quality of original 300B. Too much knowledge not passed down. It's like you can make a recipe but you can't teach technique. I'd rather save for an OG 300B. The monoblocks and preamp are made by Canary Audio for them.
  20. Stacey and I enjoyed hanging out with Kirby and his wife at the last two pilgrimages. Very fine people will be thinking of his family.
  21. I can think of half a dozen players in NY that would have jumped on it.
  22. I couldn't even imagine restoring all that gear... Does it come with a manual...
  23. The last live stream was amazing. I can't wait to see this one!!!!
  24. Honestly I don't even look anymore to see if it is MQA I'm just happy they play when available. I like the interface and the features. Cool stuff.
  25. I definately hear a difference on MQA tracks on tidal when they are available. I've tried a dozen music platforms and tidal has been best quality wise so far. I use an EAD DAC.
