  1. The center domes also known as dust caps usually get pushed in by those pushing their fingers on them. They push in easy enough. Doesn't effect their sound. But, if they were kicked in or hit hard to dent them in, there could be some damage to the woofers. I'd listen to the speakers to make sure they still sound right to make sure. Put some volume to them during testing too. I never buy any set of speakers until I listen to them. If they sound good and the price is right for you, then buy them. Chorus II are some really nice speakers. Sometimes you can pull some of the dent out with a vacuum cleaner hose.
  2. Call (1-800-klipsch) tomorrow and ask their parts department if they still sale passives for these and if so, for how much $.
  3. I've bought cloth from the Joann fabric and craft store close to where I live and it was actually labeled as Black Speaker Cloth 3514023. It is really good grill material and at a low cost. Very good quality which stretches very nicely and looks great and professional. I use small staples and stretch it tightly to the frame. Comes out beautiful every time.
  4. I always enjoy doing stuff like that. You guys had a good time. Thanks for sharing.

  6. You sure did a beautiful job with your speakers. Those are going to sound great. You're going to be enjoying them for years. There's even more enjoyment when you build something.
  7. I recently bought all three Stereophile test CDs. Their package deal. They state on their site how amazing these recordings are. I listened to all three CDs the first night I received them. They'll probably never be inside my player again, unless I get really bored sometime for a second listen, but that will probably never happen. [N]
  8. Congratulations! Welcome to the world of being completely horn loaded. Enjoy...
  9. I just adjust for best sound. You can tell when you have the sub's phase correct because the sub will sound its best.

  12. Welcome new Klipschonian and enjoy your Cornwalls II!
  13. Go to Radio Shack or Home Depot and just buy yourself five low cost TV antennas. Rabbit ears. The ones that have two extending hollow metal rods that you pull out for full extension. They come in plastic bags and cost around $5 or so each. You can buy the adapters at those places for the ends that go into your stereo if needed. I then just paint a square piece of wood black and drill a hole in its center to place the antenna in for its base. Or you can buy the ones that already have plastic bases. These work better for me than the T wire type dipoles. I learned of this on the Internet and it works great! You can also rotate them 360 degrees for better receiving direction. * ( You better buy one and try it out first, because mileage will vary. ) *
  14. I'm in a situation much like flaming eye and have his same results.
