  1. Mark; Small world, my hunting property as well as a friend of mines are both located in Bull Valley. Best regards, John
  2. Anyone else looking forward to Spring turkey hunting? I will be in the field end of second week of April in McHenry County IL. Best regards, John
  3. Bought my forte II new in 1992, so 24+ years. Best regards, John
  4. Every 10-12 hours of use. I must be doing something right since my CD player dates back to 1992, with no issues ever. Best regards, John
  5. Good luck. Remember to check your local Craigslist etc. The should pop up fairly often. Best regards, John
  6. Interesting speakers that Bob is building these days. Would love to see a joint product from him and Nelson Pass. http://www.bobcarvercorp.com/#!als/cwgy Best regards, John
  7. A little wood filler and a coat of paint and would be damn near perfect. If I were closer I would jump on. Are passive radiators dent and hole free? Best luck with your sale. John
  8. That is what your volume control is for. I run an Adcom amp rated at 250 WPC continuous to a pair of forte II. The extra reserve capacitance power is a plus for difficult loads or passages. Best regards, John.
  9. Perhaps another 7 or 8 decades of Democratic control? Best regards, John
  10. I run a 250 WPC amp with forte II. forte II are rated 100 continuous, 500 peak. As others have stated much larger presence/head room, better bass response at all levels, and plenty of reserve capacitance power for difficult loads and or passages. Best regards, John
  11. Bob Crites can also build you a squawker roll off. My forte II have new BC networks, his titanium tweeter, and Klipsch K53 Ti mid-range drivers. I had Bob build a band-pass roll off. I have been extremely happy with the results. Best regards, John
  12. 2 ears, 2 speakers has always been my philosophy. Whether it be music or video. Nice set up you received from the wife. The RF7 II really need some wattage for the bass to open up. May want to add a sub-woofer for lower listening levels.. Welcome to the forum. Best regards, John
  13. Place the forte II about 15 inches outward from rear wall and adjust accordingly. Those passive radiators need room to breath. You now own one of the most balanced Klipsch speakers ever made. Best regards, John
  14. Get a pair of forte II. Problem solved. Best regards, John
  15. I believe passive radiator is better, why do you think they went from ports to passives on the Chorus II? Best regards, John
  16. INMHO 10 armed citizens would have made a world of difference in that nightclub, etc. I carry on a daily basis because of the fact that the world has been upside down for the past 20 years or so. The Europeans decided to give up their guns along with Australia and others. Now many want them back. Good luck! Now Obama, Hillary and other liberal progressives want to take Americans guns away. Let them try. Who is ready for another civil war? Best regards, John
  17. No affliation. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/for/5228236366.html John
  18. How tasteless to steal from a child who just lost his mother. Is the father still alive or involved in childs life? Wow, either woman who died has a heartless sister or husband does. There will be a spevial place in hell for this one. Best regards, John
  19. I would paint each speaker entirely with new paint rather than try to blend and match. Could the risers not be touched up with wood filler then sanded and painted? Congtatulations on your purchase. Best regards, John PS... Post some photo's for better guidance.
  20. No, It is Huntober! Best regards, John
  21. I know the Chorus line was never offered in a cane pattern but that or a houndstooth grill cloth would look awesome INMHO. I plan on one of those patterns soon on my forte II. Best regards, John
  22. I have upgraded both the tweeter and squawker diaphragms to titanium in my forte II. I really don't understand why most feel that the tweeter upgrade is the "end all. be all" while they sneer at the squawker upgrade? INMHO, the squawker upgrade is just as important, if not more so. Take a look at the current Heritage line, all where applicable use titanium in both the tweeter and squawker. Oh well, my rant is done. Best regards, John
