  1. You will probably need to drill holes in the top of the La Scala cabinet and insert T-nuts from the inside, or use L-brackets that screw onto the backside of the La Scala and hold down the K-402 assembly. The La Scala will take up more floor space than your Klipschorn footprint.
  2. You might have heard the extended live version of In A Gadda Da Vida, and lost track of time!
  3. I would use ABS cement for the ABS horn. Press some masking tape over the face side of the cracks to keep cement from oozing out onto the visible side. Then using a small applicator, force the plumbers ABS cement (from Home Depot, Lowes or Menards, etc.) into the backside of the cracks. Keep the screw hole clean, promptly wiping excess cement with a Q-tip if needed.
  4. @JORGE B , Those speakers you listed have rear firing vents/ports.
  5. @buckowens59 , The recent change requires you to sign on using your e-mail address (from when you originally signed up to the forum), instead of your User Name. Password will be the same old password.
  6. Shipping a couple of heavy boxes to your side of the world was as easy as sending them somewhere in my own country. Glad to know they arrived in good condition.
  7. @vmags , I copied a few of your pictures here to draw some attention to your interesting old speakers.
  8. Update; 2 subwoofer drivers being delivered from the United States to Australia via UPS.
  9. I can sell you just one K-472-E 18" driver (of this pair) for your project, if that is all you need, especially since shipping from America to Australia is costly. Here are some pictures.
  10. I have done many, many transactions through the Klipsch Forum using friends and family. Never had a problem. One bad character is now causing everyone else to look at paying extra fees, and is tarnishing the image of the forums.
  11. @Knight2001DTS , I have a pair of K-472-E 18" drivers from a pair of KPT-884-SW. They are currently being used in my home, in good condition, and ready to be removed and packed up. I also have woofer shaped foam insert lined shipping boxes.
  12. I had owned Klipschorns and La Scalas long before the Klipsch forum existed, but might not know anything about the Underground Jubilee or the new Jubilee if not for the Klipsch forum fan club.
  13. I have used both, depending on the compression drivers in use. When using the passive crossovers networks, you will need to add L-pads to attenuate the signal, because the K-402 is more efficient.
  14. I had used some 18"x10" horns with 2" drivers. I could have lived with those "good enough" horns, but the K-402 is better.
  15. Using the K-402s on the Klipschorns produces the excellent sound while using all Klipsch parts. Another fun fact is that buying the horns from a Klipsch forum member was a great experience in itself!
  16. Klipschorns can be good for the room!
  17. Why do you recommend this for the woofer cabinets sitting on a concrete floor?
  18. @Wardsweb, Beautiful work on the La Scalas. @twistedcrankcammer had bought one of the woofers from me last year and was very enthusiastic about arranging the speaker system for his daughter. It was a pleasure to deal with him. RIP Rog.
  19. My favorite Klipschorns (one speaker of the pair shown in picture). 100% original drivers and AA networks.
