  1. Yeah; shame on Klipsch for putting out inferior products (Had a R-115SW; arrived with a busted plate amp; replacement did not last long either.)
  2. Someone get these fast I have their little brother setup (KPT-904's with K510's) which is terrific. Can't even imagine the sound from this 942/402 setup ... has to be SUPERIOR!
  3. Tom; old post, but did you sell these? Just checked with Cory; new pair (w/K691 drivers) is $2700.
  4. Hi Tucker, Have not really noticed any HF noise with the K1 Had some noise about a year ago, but traced that down to bad wiring. Re the Xilica XP-2040 ... Yes, probably many times better than the MiniDSP, both in build quality and functions. Haha; Mercedes vs Yugo. But, not sure if you can "hear" the difference. Paid about $850 for it (NEW, w/XLR cables). Used it for maybe 8 hours. Since I am not using it now I'll let you have it for $500 + shipping. Cheers, Emile
  5. Yes; Crown K1 powers all. Re some other issues ... UMIK is the microphone used with REW software to fine-tune settings. You can use a MiniDSP 2x4HD for the LF/HF settings, or (better) a Xilica XP-2040. Haha; have an (almost) brand new one if you are interested. Cheers, Emile
  6. Believe you will need more than the 100w/ch from the CA-1010 to bring out the best from you 904's. Had a Marantz 2252B (52w/ch) on them and while good, something was missing. Then tried a 120w/ch Yamaha; better but still lacking. Found a Crown K1, and believe it hit the sweet spot with 350w/ch. Even more power might be better, but you will get diminishing returns on $-spent vs improvements.
  7. Many 904 owners use Crown amps - K1/2 or Xls or ... Using the (lower watts; 450?) K1 in stereo mode myself. (Had a 100W Yamaha on it before.) Hard to improve upon these K1/2's. You can find two of these used for under $1000 - don't know how much improvement single mono units will give you
  8. Running KPT-904's with a Crown K1 - absolutely GREAT! Also tried them with an XLS-2002 - excellent. Not familiar with the XLS-2000, but would expect them to be spectacular also Your Denon puts out about 150w/ch, but not sure how much output it has with all 5 channels operating. In my case I went from a 70W Marantz to the K1 and the difference was night and day
  9. Monoprice.com is a great (and inexpensive) source for cabling and connectors. For 12/14 gauge, 50/100ft wire, see https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=2747
  10. Haha; Max is THE F1 World Champion.
  11. Yes; have glass tops on my Cornwall's and CF-3's. But; using "clear" glass which IMO looks much better. Watch out for glass shop prices ... they can vary as much as 400% Add-on ... make sure they give you the little round "discs" for this
  12. Not familiar with those, but had some other JBL Pro speakers - excellent! For a price comparison, here is a set on Reverb.com ... https://reverb.com/item/14677209-jbl-4628b-cabaret-series-speakers
  13. Yes; that's what I used it for OK; $500 anyone?
  14. Just checking to see if there is any interest for a Xilica XP-2040. Bought it new a couple of months ago and used it for maybe 4 hours. Paid about $800 for it and an additional $50 for XLR-RCA cables. Think of asking $650. Tried integrating JBL 2446H drivers with CF-3's in a small stereo room. But, going back to a simple CF-3 only setup Also bought a DAC for this - a LavAudio DS600; see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XX1NXJL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details . Includes bluetooth and unit has gotten very good reviews. Paid $250; how about $150. Haha, also got a Yamaha M-45 for this. Don't remember what I paid for this Any interest, let me know and I will make a full listing for these. Cheers, Emile

Haha; someone get these FAST before they are gone
  16. Have some extra 2TB drives that I used in a NAS - upgraded to 4TB Western Digital Red PRO drives (7200rpm, "CMR.") SMR vs PMR, see https://www.reichelt.com/magazin/en/smr-cmr-which-hard-drive-is-best-for-which-purpose/ ... it solely depends on your intended use; if accessed all the time as in a NAS, use CMR Drives I have are HGST, 7200rpm, SATA 6GB/s. Stickers say Aug/2015 and Oct/2015. Do not know how much use they have had. You are welcome to them; just pay for shipping But; think it is better to buy new drives WITH warranty. Suggest WD Red Pro 2TB - wd2002FFSX about $85 each on Amazon. Your listed Seagate drives (2TB, 7200rpm) are probably OK in a server setup, but they are SMR drives. SSD's are a bit more expensive ... cheapest "good" one is a Samsung QVO at about $180 for 2TB. Any questions, let me know Cheers, Emile Add-on ... unless you run in RAID, do not get "used" drives
  17. No clue about this website ... don't know if it is an auction or a "buy" or a scam. Currently $100. Also don't know if it is a KP-250 or ??? Dual speakers with stands. https://www.listedbuy.com/merchandise/electronics/sarasota-fl/2-vintage-klipsch-speakers-2-ultimate-speaker-stands-xc?utm_source=OodleMerch
  18. Have a similar set made by Klipsch (KPT-904's with 510 horns). Wife did not like them first, but put grilles on them (and enclosed the horns). Now she loves them and won't even listen to my Heresies/Cornwalls If you have the room, these larger PRO speakers are the only way to go Night and day compared to even the Heritage series. Take your wife with you to audition those JBL's!
  19. You can just use a 1 to 2 optical splitter
  20. Picked up a Lavaudio DS600 (version 2, with BlueTooth) a month ago from Amazon for $170. Wah ... it is now $250 Reviews are very decent ( look for DS600 review on AudioScienceReview.com ... for unknown reasons unable to post link ). Supposedly a copy of the Topping D50s. Yes; Chinese copy and had to fight with the manufacturer to get the correct drivers - but have them if you need it. First DAC I bought so have nothing else to compare it with
  21. The "Mesquite, NV" Khorns are listed on the forum ...
  22. Yes, latest version with mumps Ordered 6 about a year ago; from memory they were $18 plus change. No problem, order confirmed ... then they "only" shipped 4 and told me the remaining 2 had to be transferred from another warehouse first. Never happened; order was intercepted by "management," and was told the previous ones were sold "in error." Pleaded many times (including 904 serial numbers, etc) and was promised help in finding "extra" ones. Haha; nothing ever happened. Sold the 510's (at my cost) to forum members.
  23. Haha; yes, got a couple at less than $20. Then I got "rail-roaded." Even my pleadings with KPT-904's serial numbers and pics of damaged 510's did NOT help So; thank you Klipsch ... switched to JBL
