JL Sargent
We went out to eat tonight. Had some brisket and spareribs. Not even close to what we smoke here at home.

HasenpfefferHasenpfeffer is a traditional German stew made from marinated rabbit or hare, cut into stewing-meat sized pieces and braised with onions and a marinade made from wine and vinegar. Hase is German for 'hare' and Pfeffer is German for pepper,' although here it refers generically to the spices and seasonings in the dish overall, as with the German ginger cookies called pfeffernüsse. Seasonings typically include fresh cracked black pepper or whole peppercorns, and the following: salt, onions, garlic, lemon, sage, thyme, rosemary, allspice, juniper berries, cloves, and/or bay leaf. BigStewMan
Boxx--since you're the only one willing to play along...it was from a Bugs Bunny cartoon where Yosemite Sam was the cook for the king, and the king kept demanding hasenpfeffer. Just opened it, and I can tell you, for the non experienced tongue with really hot sauces, this would be extremely spicey!
