Ok, I'm drooling.  Came up with this wild idea of boycotting Kroger so have been diving into the stockpile.  About time to rotate things but also getting ready for a massive wallet rape maybe this week but could make it a couple more.

Started thinking all ya really need is a baked tater w/sour cream and butter.  Factored in a cob salad w/goodies once a day.  So that runs about 84$ a week and it's good stuff not junk.  I hit Kroger I buy more garbage than I should anc drop more than the 84 a week AND have to put it together.  Bacon, chopped egg, cheese, lettuce ya wind up chopping?  It aint rocket science but when ya involve the nickel & dime stuff along w/the all the other garbage I wind up buying?  Blah.  It's good for me and I'm dropping weight which is also good.  Won't be long and I'll be right back in Kroger playin the game though.  Life's boring like that.  lol

Gonna soooo beat that darn grasshopper!  Just hope things are ok on his end.  Crazy!

Yes I do, but it's in pieces. I had replaced the 7199 driver board a long time ago and got a different one to replace it. I need three 9 pin sockets and forget to order them.

Was that the Audio by Van Alstine board that you first put in?

No, it was the Curcio board. It was ok, but I wanted to try the Tubes4HiFi board, even if the layout isn't the best. I had also replaced the power tranny, as I thought the original got pretty hot, but that may just be TVA's power grid running at 125V. I do still have one of the large adjustable theater variacs that I could use to bring the voltage down a little, but it's a bit ugly. Not that anyone would notice in the listening room. It has that studio/lounge/garage look, especially now.

Freak out?  Call Dad!   😂

Oldest:  Dad there's a freakin squirrel in my house.  I've got the dog in the crate and the cats locked in a bedroom.  This thing is running all over the house who do I call.

Dad:  HAHAHAHAHA & HA!  Suit up and get after it!  Don't look at me.  Go get it girl!

20 minutes later

Oldest:  I got it Dad.  I put Joel's big coat on (he's 6'3), my hat and gloves, grabbed the broom and got it cornered.  Then I chased it with the broom out the back door!

Dad:  Good girl!  😂  💪

Oldest:  I've even got it all on video I'll send it to ya.  😂

Guess I could have told her if ya get a bat in there flyin around she could borrow my old tennis racquet hangin on a nail in the garage.  Blah, I'll save it for another day.  Gotta have a tennis racketl  :)

Carry on  :)

@Marvel she picked up an old female rott at the shelter a few years ago.  Someone bred her a lot then got rid of her.  There are two dogs on the planet I'd NEVER own.  A rott and a chow.  They have the brain the size of a peanut.  When they flip they will take your face off in a heartbeat.

Finally a couple weeks ago the kids got her out of the cage when I was there hangin.  They brought her over to me and she snuggled right in.  She was fine after that but I was in defensive posture the entire time.

Prior to that she'd been crated and going nuts wanting to tear me up when I stopped or was there w/them.  Daughter's second one that's the thing.  They're freaky for sure.  I'm good w/any other dog on the planet except Rotts and Chows.  Maybe they could just crate me and let the dog out when I'm  there.  Then I could take a nap.  :)

My wife's younger son in the Philippines got a Chow (crazy enough with the heat), and one of the grandsons is only nine. He can love on the dog, use him as a pillow, etc., and the dog just loves it. When we visited last July, my wife just started to reach out to pet him and he jumped at her and scratched the skin while biting her knee. Since there are so many strays in the Phils, right around the corner from the house is a "Dog Bite Clinic". She got a couple shots, a couple weeks apart.

I had told her that Chows weren't very safe to have around, but they had already had him a while. I kept trying to pet him, just by letting him rub against my leg when he would walk by. The day before we left. he was  letting me pet him. I'll probably have to start over when we go thee for Christmas this year.

I am dad 😆

The past two times I had a bat in the house I just grabbed a cardboard box and waited for it to fly by and smacked the box up in its face and caught it.

No tennis racket required.

It’s been about a decade since we’ve had that problem as we no longer have an open chimney.

Some days my reflexes are still stupidly fast for stuff like that, other days I’m not so sure.

Just keep him outta your face.  Those two breeds are the worst on the planet according to an old vet I know.  He has a Vet Hospital w/9 Vets working in there treating all kinds of pets.  He charges out the rear but they're the best around.  I saw him take a sedated lab off the table one day and put a bulldog of my sister's on the table w/a torsion.  When I called him he said look at his eyes and if there's no blood showing in his eyes get here as fast as you can.  It's stomach had flipped.  Opened it up, flipped it back and stapled it to his rib cage.  Crazy.  Saved that dog then it got parvo and they sat with that dog 24/7 and saved it from that too.  The lab got an extended nap.  I didn't ask the cost but my sister gladly wrote the check.  Guess they're pricey.  I loved it when she started whining.  Just gimme a mutt any day.

How will your stereo gear be disposed of once you're pushing up Daises?  Does your significant other have any idea what its worth?  Have you written instructions?  Has anyone given this a thought?  Do you have a relative or friend who would value it as much as you do?

Absolutely. We have discussed all of these issues at great length. I will gradually liquidate a lot of my toys as I get older, as I don't want to leave a huge mess. Plus, I don't want someone else playing their music on my Jubilee's! 🤣

@Tarheel, Chuckie if you're talking to me about my rig, vinyl, signed stuff and things with value both girls know what's here and what's locked up at other places.  They could each buy Lambo's if they sold it @ auctions.

Yea, dad's outta the box but he's always spot on.  So I laff and take the heat they throw at me.  Kids today aren't anything like we were.  Wild!

Items from people that were very close to me won't ever be sold.  Offed a couple things once and a big time dude pretty much laffed at me.  Then he saw pics I'd sent him and was my best friend.  So I took it out on his commission cause he just HAD to sell them.  Blah.

World's full of morons and I ain't dead yet.  Why?  Ya wanna buy sumpin?  😂😂😂  Ouch, will you  quit stickin pins in that lil doll you have w/my name on it?  Ouch.  QUIT IT!  😂

Those two dog breeds are among the best on this planet!

Among the most abused also.

People are willful with propagating mass ignorance!

Research what you're bringing home before you do it!!

Chows were bred by war-lords in the feudal far east centuries ago. Genghis Khan kinda folks, to be good fighters and loyal. They will pick someone in the household to be loyal to and unless trained from younger than a month on can exhibit those bred in traits.

Rottweilers are my favorite animal period.

Don't get one from a rescue place when they're two years old. Like bulldogs and the aforementioned chows they are more likely to have had a bad human in their life! Lovable, obedient, protective and strong willed.

Dalmatians need acres to run around, the two above need attention, plus running space.

I've had all of the above for the short and long hauls!
