derrickdj1
Rip Ken. You were one of the all time greats in the game of football. Thanks for all the great moment that I enjoyed watching you at your craft. Speaking of the Oakland Raider's, I can still see that hit Jack Tatum put on Lynn Swan, Bam! Seadog
RIP Snake. I remember when he was traded to the Oilers. It was a huge deal in Houston. He even had is own cola, Snake venom. I always liked hearing him talk with that Alabama drawl.

jimjimbo
As a former Chargers fan, I hated him, but I loved him too. RIP you crazy guy.
oldtimer
Maybe now he will get voted into the Hall of Fame? It is a travesty he isn't there already.

Jim Naseum
Stabler + Fred Belitnikoff in the 2-minute offencr! Lol that was greatness. Like surgical precision!!
tnr
Very sad. RIP Kenny Stabler. I remember his long hair sticking out of his helmet and his beard. He threw a rocket. I've got to check out my card collection...been awhile.
Sancho Panza
When I used to like the NFL, I liked the Raiders & the Snake. RiP
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted July 10, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 10, 2015 I am really bummed. I was heart broken when he and Al Davis got into it over money. They trashed each othwr in the media. He was an awesome player. All would seem lost in a game and them he would go deep and Fred would make some unbelievable catch and George would kick the extra point. Thanks for the memories, RIP
oldtimer
Deep was usually to Cliff Branch. All of the team members mentioned are in the Hall of Fame.
BigStewMan
john madden said that if he had one drive and could pick any QB ever--he’d want Stabler. He said Stabler was always so cool (the never rattled or nervous sort of cool).
oldtimer
Blanda wasn't all that bad in that department either.
JL Sargent
He played in an era when QBs didn't have near the protection of today. He was tough and cool. After the NFL, he was Alabama football's radio color analyst for many years which I enjoyed.
Sancho Panza
Blanda wasn't all that bad in that department either. Liked when Geo Blanda would come in & Pass & Kick his way to a Win.
