Beautiful grills in a brown cloth with original badges etc... I got these as part of a lot of equipment I bought out of an estate. They were hooked up to the system in the main living room until I removed them. Probably since new. I haven't oiled the wood, I'll leave that up to the new owner... although they would probably look even better! They sound excellent. I think these would fetch a mint on the auction site. I haven't opened up the backs, but I'm guessing they are fully stock. I will open them up and take pics if someone wants me too. LOOK AT THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK!! Basically two copies of everything, including the envelopes! CRAZY! Sequential serial numbers (8L059 & 8L060) Put these as 1973 models. They are model HWO, which is Heresy Walnut Oiled. They have some of the most beautiful grain I've seen... almost matched to each other. See the pics. No risers/bases. I was asking $850obo. But now thanks to JimJimbo they are $800 firm. I'd prefer not to ship, but I might be able to get factory boxes and packing from Klipsch if someone wants them bad enough. I will drive to meet someone as far as within 3hrs of Wichita, KS — Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Tulsa etc... for $50. If you are a serious buyer, let's talk. Since people have to pay to support AK and to have access to bartertown I started my asking price at a bit of a courtesy price. The Klipsch forum is open to the public. 3. Thanks for being rude. If you think that the folks that frequent this forum are not aware, or are not members of the AK community, and don't track prices there and on Agon, and on the Bay, and elsewhere, you are sadly mistaken. Nothing rude about it. We post Alerts all the time about Klipsch speakers on CL and elsewhere. This is nothing new. Good luck at $800. You'll need it. (now, that might be rude.) what,no smiley? I've bought and sold a ton of gear over the years. And I know exactly what is "typical" for a given piece and I throughly do my research. I see this pair of Heresy's as very atypical in the used market. Really nice pairs easily fetch $650-700 on the auction site and I've never seen anything with this level of original paperwork etc...I like setting new standards. You, Jim, are obviously not my target market. I'm looking for a discerning buyer that might be getting ready to drop $1700-2000 on a new pair of Heresy 3's, but would prefer a spectacular set of 1's with full plywood construction as opposed to MDF, and even throwing the gambit of Crite's mods on them could come out for less money for some great speakers. Thanks for continuing to crap in my thread. I've sold two pair of your vintage in the last 3 years for $995, so there are guys out there who will pay for ridiculously clean Heresys from the mid '70s. Good luck and have a terrific weekend. I'm actually a very nice guy, but it doesn't take a whole lot to put me on the defensive. Especially telling me that my price is too high, which hasn't proven to be true at all.
