Thoughts and prayers for all you TX folk as well as those out there contributing to rescue efforts. Be safe all.

It's just mind boggling to see the devastation and flooding in Houston, then to think they will be getting another twelve inches of rain, today.

wvu80
President Trump is headed to Texas just now and will inspect storm damage and talk with government officials there. It looks like the federal government, state and local governments, private citizens from all over the country and the Red Cross is ready to jump in to help immediately once they can get in there. CECAA850
I just checked. We've had between 8 and 10 inches in the last 12 hours.
Moderators dtel Posted August 29, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2017 Good luck Carl, and everyone, if it would just move onshore and NE away from the gulf things could slowly start draining. The most rain I have ever seen here was 21" in 24 hours, I couldn't imagine twice that and spread out over such a large area, it's hard to imagine. Most hurricanes move on quickly after making landfall, this is ridiculous and needs to be over, the rain at least. The rest will not be over for a long time.
