MEH Synergy
OK I'll play wild card here. After playing with cables of all budgets for years, my personal preference in order of cost low to high is: Mogami W3103 Audioquest Type 4 no thrills Audioquest Type 8 no thrills Kimber Kable 4TC Kimber Kable 8TC The Kimber is expensive, and it's why I don't currently own it, but it sounds great and deals can be had used. I have found all of these cables excellent sounding for the price and quite consistent across varied systems. You will love those speakers in sure. I certainly did. Enjoy and report back to us with what you think.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a few pairs of them, but when I saw that, I decided to pass as well. Good decision on our parts.....

MEH Synergy
I agree with Shakey on this one. I don't believe in high dollar cables as I don't have a high dollar system. The cables I pointed out are the best I know within a reasonable budget. But they aren't $10 a pair either. For those spending thousands on speakers and amps and using $10 cables, I would highly encourage experimentation with borrowed cables from a friend or dealer. If you don't hear a difference, plain and simple: they aren't for you. No harm, no foul. I have let a few friends and family borrow my cables over the years and the majority understood and heard notable differences that were pleasing to the ears. Not all did.

finallygotmyheresies
I made my own cables with Canare 4s11 Star Quad, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Canare-4S11-Star-Quad-11-AWG-Wire-Speaker-Cable-W-Banana-Plugs-10-Ft/150829228707?epid=1746297975&hash=item231e1f62a3:g:6rQAAOxyjPNREOZ5:rk:20:pf:0 When I need another set I will just order from that seller since it's easier. They offer lots of different lengths and setups.
MEH Synergy
Canare makes great affordable cables as well.
Panelhead
I am always looking to justify my purchases. Been using Canare quad speaker cable for a while. Read somewhere that Magico uses it for the internal wiring inside their expensive models. Works great for bi-wireable speakers, like LS ii and Hiii. I terminate with spade lugs on the amp end. Two wires twisted together is too fiddley for the Johnson 5-Way terminals on the amp. Use bare wire on the speaker end. Tin with solder and cram into the hole in the binding post. If the AK-6 uses Audioquest I am sure many will change over. A theory that cables have a family “sound” that needs to be maintained. The Canare quad is inexpensive. The 4S8 is 16 ga wires. Which is overkill for most Klipsch speakers. There is a 4S11 which has 14 ga wiring for the bigger is better mindset.
richieb
=== I’ve gone with the “thin is in” philosophy. I’ve found some true Mil-Spec solid copper, not stranded, that is thin enough not be stripped with a 20 gauge wire stripper. I make a double run for each - + piece. Sounds every bit as good, and I think with a bit more shimmer to the highs than the best Belden, the aforementioned Kimber and upper end Audioquest. No terminations on either end. I see no reason to use an all copper wire than attach a gold plated brass banana or spade. I’m using this to wire the Jube networks one to the other and from the network to the Faital driver. Also for IC’s.

ODS123
Do this... and decide for yourself: Buy pricey cables from a seller who has a return policy. Now, hook one of them to one channel on your pre-amp (receiver, whatever), then your current cable to the other. Now, push your speakers close together (ie., almost touching), then play music with either your mono button pushed, or (if you don't have one) play a mono recording. Use your balance control to switch b/w the speakers. Here a difference? Even better, have a friend hook up the cable without you knowing which is hooked to which channel. Again, use balance control to switch b/w channels. Do you hear a difference?? Please report back your results. My suggestion was to use bare wire to connect the speakers and amp rather than any sort of connector on the ends unless the OP needs to move things around frequently. Then they are a matter of convenience only.

If you are a casual listener and don't really care, that's ok. If you aren't experienced enough to know what to listen for, that's ok. If your system isn't resolving enough to perceive the differences, that's ok. If you can hear the difference, but it's not worth the extra $$, that's ok. (This is the most likely scenario) If any of the above applies to you MR. JIMBO, or anyone else here, just revel in the extra money in your pocket that zip cord affords you. And keep in mind, all amps sound the same too, so Best Buy is your friend............. Shakey

ODS123
As I've said before, the disinterest in bias-controlled listening trials in this hobby is disappointing. I thoroughly believe PWK would gasp (or point to his BS button) at the suggestion that there are audible differences b/w speaker cables of suitable gauge .
