The longer the better, but when you want some, just peel the outer layer and enjoy. I hate iceberg lettuce so I am jealous of you. I love red romaine lettuce salads but I'd have to do what you say above so forget it. My digestive tract is going to be pissed at me for a while. I hope the CDC or WHO [insert your joke here] comes back and definitively tell us that the virus can only last 72 hours at 39 degrees. That will make this so much easier.
