Lettuceman500
Hello everyone, I have a pair of KG4’s with Krites upgraded crossovers and tweeters and I adore the sound. I have recently had the itch to acquire another pair of Klipsch speakers and wondered what else I should consider. Are the Heresy speakers a natural progression? Should I look into something different like the Choruses? Edited October 11, 2023 by Lettuceman500 Misspelled Krites
billybob
Welcome! Either way is the progress...either the 12 inch woofer versus the 15 inch game changer...
OO1
the klipsch Heresy 1 is THE ....speaker to own with prices starting at 500$ , if you want heavy bass , the Chorus
Shakeydeal
Although the Heresy is a very good speaker, I don't think I'd call it THE speaker by any stretch. That honor is saved for the Lascala. OP, depending on the size of your room I advise you to go directly to the Forte in any of it's iterations.
CWOReilly
Quartet or Chorus. Heresy is great but will probably be lacking in bass compared to kg4.
billybob
You will have several to choose from in your progression...liked my 4s...
haydukej
Forgot who made this, but always liked it for reference. Obviously needs updating

You'll miss the low end if you go the Heresy route and will wind up accompanying it with a subwoofer. Yes; if that's acceptable to you then get the Heresies. Otherwise, another vote for Quartets, or go for Fortes. I don't think Choruses will play lower than your kg4s.
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted October 11, 2023 Moderators Share Posted October 11, 2023 Agree with the comments above. If you can move to the Forte IV you will never look back. Travis
Klipschtastic
Go Forte IV if you can. I don’t think the H4 is enough of an upgrade for the money.

nickyboy6100
Stick with your Kg4’s unless you have room for a much bigger speaker.

babadono
don't want to start an argument or debate...you KNOW I'm talking about the 2 way home version that you almost had to know Roy to obtain. Of which there are like 50 pairs world wide. And they're now unobtanium unless one is blessed enough to find someone foolish enough to let them go, maybe because of the owner passing. DLStryker
My KG4's put out quite a bit more base than my Heresy II. But the midrange on the Heresy's is MUCH better than the KG4's. I was just listening to them side by side and there was background piano that that was being reproduced by the Heresy that the KG4 was basically were not reproducing at all.
Ceptorman
Another vote for the Forte IV. Cory at Paducah Home Theater has a sale currently.
