Finished putting panels up Big Smile

Did you notice a big change in the sound?

It has a cleaner sound for sure at higher levels but I wouldn’t

say it’s a real big difference. It only cost

about 375 total so I’m happy with the looks and the small upgrade in sound. But

it definitely didn’t blow me away or anything. (I should point out that my placement location

was more about the look than optimal sound placement)

Kind of defeats the purpose no? LOL Looks over sound? Huh?

If you did the math for your room and placed those panels in the proper place I'm sure you would notice a HUGE difference.

Not at all surprisingly they say just getting them anywhere in

the room is the biggest step and is going to net the biggest improvement. And then

working on best placements like reflection points can improve on that a little.

It’s nothing like a sub where placement is everything. I did use a room calculator

for the amount I needed. I guess room treatments could yield HUGE improvement

in some rooms but my room was already pretty good so it wasn’t in major need.

(“Looks over sound” come on everyone does that at some

point)

that is one awesome room. those ED subs are 300lbs ea. i wouldn't want to sleep in the room directly under them

about 280lbs. The 600 the quote is pallet weight.

I wouldnt want you sleeping in the room underneath either since it is the garage. [:P]

What speakers are those?

Elemental Designs Cinema series 12s. They were custom made into towers for me.

My family room HT setup with RSW-10d on left and Revel B15 on right. Only the Quartets remain in the 2-channel setup as the Fortes are about sold.[:(]

I moved the Revel up front now that I have room and will test and EQ later in the week and see if that is or isn't better placement.

Why no center speaker?

Nezff, I need help picking my jaw up off the floor. I can't get over how big those subs are. That bonus room has got to generate some crazy SPL's. I bet they were a royal pain getting them up the stairs.

Bill, the new sub looks great and fits right at home in your setup.
