shake777
I'm happy with my Emotivas and may buy 5 XPA-1s. They look great in your set up. I love the neatness. Coming from one who is not neat, if you band your cables together it will make it look close to perfect. Nic
elitedemo
ty, im either adding another power center on the right or unfortunately due to some distances with running all of it to the left i have to order some new power cables before i can wrap them and clean up my wire monster, hopefully my winter project
JasonJCarney
Just move your avr rack to the right near the other outlet. Then run a longer hdmi cable to the tv
ajoker2c
Just move your avr rack to the right near the other outlet. Then run a longer hdmi cable to the tv Great suggestion! I was just thinking of alternative to the same problem and that would work perfectly for me and already have spare extended HDMI for projector. Good call Jason! JasonJCarney
! Can someone explain what is going on here please? I see 2 speakers with black fronts aparently sitting on their sides stacked up with a towel between them to the left. On top of them sits a 3rd speaker that appears as though it may topple over at any minute. On top of the TV looks to be another double stack of center channels? The DSX front height speakers seem to be of the slightly larger variety than I had ever imagined someone would actually use. So we have a total of 8 front speakers (maybe 2 of them are subs or something?) and a pair of mini surrounds in back of what appears to be a second row of elevated seating? Is that a sub off the the far right under the lamp or just an end table?

JasonJCarney
I like those blacked out sides. Very nice set up. my son's future man cave Almost done now. It's a drop down staircase entrace off my sons room.
t-man
Can you adopt me as your son. How cool is that - a man cave above your bedroom?!?!? That's awesome!
JasonJCarney
lol...yeah I told my wife it was a "play room" for him! lol He's not quite a year now but it won't be long and he'll be watching TV and gaming. I have a practically brand new set of HD300's and an extra center channel to go with them that I was thinking about wiring up around the room in a 6.1 channel setup. It won't be the greatest but I bet it will sound cool in all channel stereo[Y]
superedge88
EVOLUTION OF OUR BEDROOM THEATER Started off withKG 3.2's Upgraded to 3.5's (more appropriate height) Found a set of 5.2's on craigslist this morning for a great deal!
t-man
how did you feel the 3.5 vs 3.2 comparison was. I had a set of 3.2s once and thought they were amazing! I suppose that cat gets up that high by climbing the speaker grills?
superedge88
I liked the 3.5's better as far as vocals, but that was probably from better height alignment of the tweeters. The cat jumps up on the subwoofer then jumps up on top of the dresser

Brunt
Nice. How much of a difference did all of the sound treatment make? i have heard it's benefits in a recording studio type atmosphere, not home theater though.
nezff
Cut down on the echo. Acoustic treatments are major part of hme theater. Take a look here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=255432
