(2each) 2-channel systems (Rotel) and 3-pair of Klipsch RF-7's (6-speakers)

Both Rotel Systems are identical:

Rotel RB-1090 Amp

Rotel RC-1090 Pre

Rotel RCD-1072 CD-Player

Rotel RT-1080 Tuner

Sound is amazing! I'm stunned every day that I sit down for a listen!

Love the Klipsch / Rotel match.

Kev, that's a really nice looking system. Why exactly do you have 2 identical Rotel systems, flanked by 3 pairs of RF7's on each side though?

Here is a pciture of my Den. Two channel with whatever amp I feel like dropping in and a Blueberry. Right now it's an 8B. Still sorely missing my Linn turntable which is out being repaired and upgraded. I rarely watch TV or DVD in here but when I do, I switch to the little Onkyo digital receiver on the left.

Here is where I put some of my vintage stuff until I ran out of shelf space. Cool Bongos!

Whoa! Wanna sell me some of that vintage stuff, Scott??

Thanks Nick, that's not even half of it. I was giving stuff away a few weeks ago. It's a disease, I can't ever seem to part with any of it8.gif

I like Codehead's system. That Wytech amp is impressive.

Thanks, Guy.

After waiting a year for one to show up, I just picked up a Wyetech Opal preamp on Audiogon last night. The new pre, and a pair of '77 Cornwall CDBR's I'm having refinished should be a nice upgrade.

Get your butt back to Chicago and have a listen. How's the move going?

Thanks for the invite, Tim. I sure will drop in again.

Move is going fine, all things considered. Close on the Hilton Head home on Wednesday and move our stuff down during the week of 7/15. In between the closing and the move, the entire plumbing in the house will be replaced (polybutylene coming out, C-PVC going in). I'll move them down, and then come back up here to MA to live until the home sells.

I'll commute down there every other weekend until I can't take it anymore ... I'm trying to get a different job within the company that lets me work out of the house but that won't be until November probably.

My two-channel system will be set up in the house's apartment over the garage. Seems to be a nice, quiet isolated place that won't get a lot of traffic other than some occasional visitors. The Cornwalls will go out there with the Horus-Pantheon-Njoe Tjoeb-Music Hall combination. Close to your rig, except in the TT department.

Where did you get those brass spikes again? Since the floor is wood already, I won't need those beautiful bases you had built.

Tell me what tweaks are really working for you these days.

MD1032, the bass on those things is unbeatable. Even compared to klipschorns because it's perfectly flat down past 20hz, they dont have to exactly battle room acoustics, at all. No room modes to worry about. :)

I would definately consider Grado the Klipsch of headphones, very efficient and very dynamic.
