First cup of coffee today. No Headache for a change, YIPPE ! Someone seems to have been raiding my 190 proof. So I took it out of the kitchen. Did not notice anyone that looked like they've been into it though. No kids at the house.

First time out of likes, how does this work, I have only given about a dozen. There are other days where I felt I gave 12 dozen.

I do love my Cornscalas, but thinking about the natural progression of moving up to Klipschorns. This is a speaker I have always wanted to hear, but never had the opportunity. I'm trying to figure out what is and what isn't. If it's something you wouldn't want your female boss, daughter or young son seeing then I might zap it, or at least I think that's what I'm supposed to do. My moderator wings aren't fully developed and I'm more than likely apt to screw up.

No problem. It is a base plate that they sit on. I'm assuming they come with the purchase of Palladiums. I was told that many of the very high end speakers have a platform that they sit on. I wouldn't know first hand as I have never owned any of that caliber.

Some preamps and amps just don't work as a system with LaScalas. I was very, very fortunate with my amps, and had great bass from my LS. I am doing the bass reflex mod on a second pair, but they are a ways away from getting finished. It won't matter if it's SS or tubes, either. Some work well and some don't. If you have some other gear you can try on them or some you can borrow, that is the least expensive first step to resolve the issue. You can, also, adjust the mid output down a few db. That will make them more balanced, and give an apparent increase in bass. Bruce

LOL, Back when I was like 20 I had some friends over for a garage jam & I had my Fender Twin with JBLs, the bass player had a 400w Marshall head & stack, full drum set & I forget all that was in the garage but it was about 2 hours into the jam & the cops showed up, the sound had carried along the railroad tracks & marsh to about a mile away & those "neighbors" had called the cops to shag us & it took them forever to find where we were at because I live at the end of a dead end & nowhere near them & nothing but nothing in-between. Pissing off the neighbors.. LOL

The jtr cap s2s are still beng built I think 2-3 more weeks till they arrive. Ok the meantime I have to hav an electrician install 2 20amp circuits with powercon receptacles just to power them up.

I'll be honest here. The palladiums were Gorgous and sounded incredible. That being said Youths 3 lascalas sounded better. Please don't hate me but the detail deprecation clarity and soundstage were absolutely incredible in comparison. Youth has a beautiful home and a nice cozy thrater. Had a great time experiencing it all. The belle was underwhelming. The palladiums musically were outstanding an the THX subs put so much bass in my friends house he probably will have cops there tonight. wstrickland when you coming to hear my anthem/THX ultra Dual JTR captivator s2 theater ???
