What adds to this happy story is a brick/mortar dealer that actually Stocks at least one pair of LaScalla. That is a find in and of itself.4 points

I made the mistake of responding to your post about wheelies without reading through the remaining thread... Others had already made the suggestion of backing up the ramps in reverse. I felt a little silly... like there was toilet paper stuck to my shoe, or something.4 points

I can not thank everyone enough for their support of the Klipsch Heritage Museum Association. As Membership Committee Chairman I am pleased to announce that all of our Right and Left Channel Founders' Level memberships have been taken. We wouldn't be here without each of you. I want to personally thank @cincymat for dedicating his Founders' Level membership to @Boxx! What a wonderful thing to do. I'm sure @Maccagirl83 will be overwhelmed with your generosity. As cincymat said, "It's all about the music"! @Cstrau your membership completed our Left and Right channel Founders' Club. We have five KhornKorps memberships remaining. Our goal is to sell these remaining five memberships before July 1, 2017. This is the link to our Museum subscription page. http://klipschmuseum.org/subscriptions Feel free to PM me for additional info. The Museum is a 501c3 non profit corporation as determined by the IRS. We hope to announce our lower level memberships in the next thirty days. Thank you all again for your support.3 points

.......very lovely looking speakers all around gents..............and I know that dTel knows the latest, but speaking of speakers... I thought I would share a photo from 'What I Got Today' (which is yesterday now......) just unboxed these last night! And so, I believe that two Klipsch flagships CAN coexist nicely ... These are different then the KH's but are wider in sound stage and stereo imaging then the KH's and make a wonderful amount of low end too! Musical and NON fatigue to the ears also come to mind... I had NO idea a local dealer next town over from me was selling Klipsch! I was able to touch a brand new pair of LaScala's for the first time ever! Anyway, here is whats new in the 'Hall'.... Enjoy your day my friends...3 points

Those curvy Ramps are bullchit. I tried backing up them, not a good feeling halfway up, im too old for creepy feeling of danger. Loaded with my trusty 2 X 10 wood planks and swapped ramps on the way home for straight ones. Straight Aluminum w / strap(s) are the way to go and these new ones are 6'.3 points

I was in Chicago for the last couple days, but I'm actually kind of glad I didn't see these while I was there. I'd be taking 2 pairs of speakers home and that would be even more explaining I'd have to do3 points

That's a real head scratcher. When I built some of those, I added a trap door. I dado'd out a slot for it to set in with overlapping opposite dado. Used a couple small screws to hold it in place. I duratexed right over the door to hopefully seal it better. If I ever blow a speaker and have to test the door, I will have to use a utility knife to cut through the duratex and take out the screws. I can only hope it works without damaging too much. It is on the back and a new coat of duratex hides a lot of sins. As for your dilemma, I have come up with several in my mind that all seem like a bad idea. Might be easiest to just do the new connections and try not to blow a woofer. Cross that bridge when you come to it. I can cut you a new one if you break something.3 points

finally completed my system 9.1. The subwoofer was the last one I needed. I love how the sub sounds with music. Haven't tried it with movies since I haven't had the time. So far so good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk3 points

You can just utilize a phantom center with the imaging of the front speakers. With that said, only ideal for center seating position. Narrow room with no extreme right/left seating will be doable also. Post a photo of your attic. Bill2 points

When I admitted on another post that I was a closet Alice Cooper Fan well the English conterparts were Slade - yes I am a closet fan of this 70s English band and have most (not all) of the records Noddy Holder and the lads just made me feel good as a young lad when I listened to them They scored a staggering 11 Top Five hits in a four-year span from 1971 to 1974 five of which topped the charts More popular in mother England and Australia Not so popular in the US until much later when some songs were covered by other artists Artist - Slade Title - Slayed?2 points

Not so, there were available both ways clear and black with the clear ones being a bit more rare. Those badges are period correct for those.2 points

I ran across this today as I was reading through Dope-from-Hope articles (Vol.16, No. 1). I thought it might be of interest to anyone reading this thread. Chance to see how our individual experience squares with previous findings. I especially like PWK's notes/commentary on the left margin that describe the increasing sound levels:2 points

.........and here, some photos with the pair, WITH grills, and the KH as a backdrop ........grills removed......... I bought these SIGHT UNSEEN/HEARD.... I had nothing to go by except the really nice video presentation of the RP series release by Mark Casavant and his associates at Klipsch AND the many youTube reviews and demos... So, now, with a brand new woody 'aroma' sensed here in Music Hall, and after HOURS of tweaking their placement, they really sound wonderful.... The bass is as described, the highs via the new Tractix tweeter horn are smooth. The sound stage and stereo imaging is wider and fuller then the Klipschorns via direct, real time AB comparo... If anyone has questions concerning them, they can send me a private message and I will be sure to answer... OK, thats it for now, thanks taking in the little 'tour'.... Good times2 points

Morning gang Took care of the "New Fangled Ramp" problem yesterday. Iv always been one to buy kinky/new/different, this time i was right when looking at them before purchase. No Biggie as you can see, traded them out for a pair of straight ones, they work like a champ. Notice on these "Curvy Things" there is NO right way really without asking for the front end to come up on Ya wile loading.2 points
