  1. oh yeah ... I know some of you will find this hard to believe; but, I haven’t eaten fast food or visited a restaurant since I got a pizza on New Years Eve. So, if you own stock in Del Taco, you should probably sell. Honestly, i no longer crave fast food or going out to eat. This change would be so much better if i knew how to cook. I can fry an egg, so a lot of fried egg, grilled cheese sandwiches; or I buy stuff and my brother cooks it (he can cook). And, i started working out again. Yeah, i’m just awesome now.

  2. Nope, didn’t forget. I proposed to my wife that day. She said yes. Trust me, that was the real miracle.

  3. Alright Elden, you’re going to force me to admit that most therapists would want me on this forum as it is the only place that i can get a “like.” Generally, i just get strange looks and the comment, “What were you thinking?"

  4. nope -- my stomach has long been against me; but, it’s more just a desire to lead a more healthy life.

  7. Odd people attract the same, what can we say ? You just fit in, kind of scary I know. I’ll try to take some of the heat off you. These guys got a lot of ammunition against me so that won’t be too hard. Steve You two are not even close, Vasubandu is all over the place some times, it's hard to even keep up, no telling which direction he is going next. I tried to keep up but I gave up, it's like trying to catch a hyperactive youngster who had a bunch of coffee, almost impossible. He means well but I'm to old for that much excitement and bouncing around. He is like the Roadrunner and this is me, retired.....

  8. Hey that guitar really is beautiful. I am not even a guitar guy, just love the wood.. I am new here too, but I gotta ask you to stick around. Right now, I get the strange looks and people wondering what I am thinking. A diversion would be wonderful. But they are going to see that my 32 inch subwoofer makes sense.

  9. That thing is gorgeous, always liked a cutaway look. Taylor makes some nice guitars. I haven't played my new Les Paul 6 times since I got it, just easier to grab an acoustic. Maybe you're like me, I usually play when it's a spur of the moment decision. If I plan on playing, I kind of lose interest. I'll bet our weather is as bad as yours, we dropped almost 50 degrees today over yesterday! Was almost 80 yesterday, and snow flurries this morning.

  10. HI Bill ... a new Taylor. Tasmanian Blackwood back & sides. It is acoustic number five; but, i seem to play them more than any of the electrics. I will confess, that it was down to this Taylor or a PRS electric, and did consider just getting both instead of having to choose. But, i really haven’t been playing much lately ... okay, at all since September, so until i get motivated again, i figured that i’d only get one new one.

  13. Can't do it, if I start to fall asleep during the day I get up and do something. Not that I mind but it messes me up, I wake up and the rest of the day i just don't feel right, plus it makes me say up very late at night. But I have done it a few times out in the hammock by accident. One of those you didn't know you fell asleep until you wake up surprised.

  14. Yeah, and you're only in for 7 weeks so far. A solid and very respectable goal for weight loss is 2 pounds per week. IMO, more than 3 pounds per week of weight loss would seem maybe a little excessive. Though I eat a lot better than I used to, I confess I am far from a saint. But the exercise easily makes up for it, and even then, I don't exercise for hours on end. Usually, 45 minutes of alternating running/walking (for me, run 1/4 mile, walk 1/10 mile; repeat for about 40 minutes). I do other things to mix it up, too, so that I am not stuck on the same thing forever and get tired of it. I do some power-walking with a group where we walk at a 14 min./mile pace around the track 15 times. I play basketball Saturday mornings. Got a pair of dumbells - don't lift heavy, but go for 3 sets of 30 reps or so here and there. Push ups or whatever. Just always something, but not always the same thing. But I always make sure my cardio stuff works up a good, solid sweat. This, alone, allows me to eat all the junk food I want, and I still eat it. It's just that I want less of it than I used to years ago. I eat less deep fried stuff and less thick gravy over everything, but I still enjoy some of those, too. I enjoy vegetables more than ever. I've been at it now for 5 years. It's still fixed in my routine - though I am not a religious fanatic about it. I just make sure it fits in at least 4 days a week if not more. They're not always the same days, but almost never Fridays. Keep it up! After a year, you will feel better than you have felt in years.

  16. That's pretty funny! I'm like WillBob. I think I can sleep on command. I do mid-day naps here and there, except for me, it can be any time.

  17. Are you trying to fix health issues? I saw your posts in the ketchup thread, lol, and then this one. I am interested because I reversed some early-stage health issues by change in diet and exercise. If that's what you're after, good luck and keep at it. Life without ketchup can be pretty good! lol

  26. I wish I could remember how many times I saw Todd in the late 70's. Pretty sure all of the were stadium seating. Remember dropping a roach down the pants of a girl sitting in front of me totally by mistake. I can still see it glowing between her cheeks. Just before she launched from her seat. I’ve never looked so innocent. Ever. Oops.

  27. Hi Bill, nice to meet you as well. I’ve been around here for over a decade -- sometimes i disappear for a while though. Truth be told, my war stories are more testimonies of how God protects the ignorant. My life has been a pretty crazy ride at times. So you want a war story? Okay, the sea was angry that day my friend ...

  28. Thank You my brother. I see from previous pages that you have a new ride. Congrats. I had a BMW 528 and loved it, regret getting rid of it actually.

  33. I've got a pair of RF7-ii's in Cherry finish. These are A-stock I ordered from the Klipsch website in late 2016, and they are in flawless condition. The grills are included and are in their original boxes. I'm only selling to try and scrape together a little cash for a move, and I may buy RF7-iii's later on. I'm located near the Lake of the Ozarks, and would be willing to drive within a reasonable distance to meet if you're OK without doing a demo on them first. FWIW these are completely stock and are perfect in every way. I'm also putting a pair of Jamo C-109's up for sale. $1,300

  42. The Dark Walnut Danish Oil finish was not my first choice, but it does look very nice. My first choice was a Dark Walnut stain with a light tung oil. I am happy with the look of an oiled finish. Need to apply a couple of coats over the next few days. Just couldn't wait till next week to get some finish applied. Jerry

  43. The Garage is all open, main listening area will be 25' X 35' with surround speakers , middle and rear at the 10' height. Middle will be mounted on the walls and rear will be hanging from the ceiling. This will be the detailing side of my garage for my cars and partying when I move them outside. I'm glad I seen ceptorman said he likes the RP 250S! This was my original choice, will follow with some Pics after ordering and installing. Thanks a Lot, time to start buying!! I have never seen a Speaker Forum and this says a lot about Klipsch Speakers, Thank you All, Great Site!!
