Almost to page 1900. You boys having slushies around the fire at Rodney's can talk about how swell a guy Tarheel is4 points

Yes it Lol, a sister in law or two when together watching us around the fire with a beer would drink some Sangria. Like the taste alright. When older got into drinking some finer wine with the in-laws. It was expensive French he bought by the case. Got into drinking French Champagne and collecting the bottles as they were quite attractive to me. Name brands. Wife at the time was good for 1 glass. I was good for the rest. Cannot recall the brands now from a California(sparkling maker(Schramsberg) which was quite excellent. Read extensively about the region around Paris. Collected tulip and saucer glasses. Went to the Wine&Cheese Cellar local and on and etc...Still remember quite a lot. Like a good Amontillado fairly recently for our vacations, beach trips. Guess the truth is, I started drinking wine and loving it more and more. Times changed and went back to beer, all beer, cheap, high priced, homebrew. Fact is, have said more than intended and am not too proud to drink anything with anyone who were to offer as, I can relate to all people, anywhere, I have ever been. Educated or otherwise. Rich or poor. Have had a good life and do not wish to offend anyone whose paths I should cross. Not going to cull any friendly invites. Now as to shine. I like it with a beer chaser. Have had it on a few occasions. Was surprised to find it legal in some places when I went to the mountains for vacations for a couple of recent years. in the summertime for the 4th. Was amazed at all the flavors. Just absolutely love the weather at high elevations. Pineapple....mmm sounds gooooood. Nowadays, less is more for me.4 points

You were one of those kids, must drive you crazy reading some post, like mine.3 points

My daughter brought some back from someplace in Tennessee, they had about 100 different flavors. But it was not real, I guess they limit the proof or something to make it legal but they still used the name moonshine. I had brought some back fro AR and asked her if she wanted to taste the difference, she put a drop on her finger and just said OK with a funny face.3 points

Why would we do that? It'd be much more fun talking about how whipped he is and why he's not there with us enjoying himself.3 points

Honestly, I think the last time I had any MD 20/20 was probably 1972. After that, moved on to the much higher quality Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill.3 points

gotta leave the property today. A big adventure. GreenValley. Walmart... Much rather go to the Safeway. The clientele are easier to take. I have to get a bigger/better new coffee pot. This thing... well, every cup is fresh ... nasty, but fresh spits the water too hot and it comes half bitter before the "warmer" finishes burning it.3 points
-
I'm not too far from that now.. this little coffee pot has to be sized up... I need to brew another "cup"3 points

Yes Gallo is cheap and there are laws, it's why MD 20/20 does not come in gallons, to much nasty in one place. One beer3 points

Well I won't mention it.2 points

Well made Sangria is actually very popular these days, and it can definitely sneak up on you if you're not careful....2 points
-
I remember Sangria, there was a place we liked that sold it by the pitcher with oranges and other fruit in it, pretty good really. Never seen that but would have tried it. Tried some Pineapple shine last week with chunks of Pineapple in it, very good, the fruit alone would be enough to do you in.2 points

Closer than you might think...... I'll bet you had to look up the spelling of that.....2 points

The price was totally fair, so I didn't haggle that. I own a 5x8 trailer, which cuts my fuel economy in half, AND, gas in Ontario is about 50% more than Michigan. I had to pay a small premium to a local small business at a travel agency that specializes in currency conversion for travelers. So, bottom line was about $300 USA for meals, fuel, and currency conversion. US Duty Fees are not easy to figure out, but I checked with the personnel at the US customs before I crossed the bridge. I didn't need to fill out a form. They said all I needed was a receipt for used, home made stuff. Hpower and I made sure the receipt had a vague description of the goods using the words "home made and plastic." for a maximum duty free amount. The officer insisted on inspection in the trailer and was asking some friendly questions about how old they were, hobbies, woofer size, etc. to my friend and I.........a couple of old geezers that we are. He may have been a budding audiophile, who knows, so we went through without a problem. Sunny clear skies on a perfect highway that bypassed Toronto traffic. Great trip. LOL.2 points

Welcome to the Klipsch forums with your Post #1. Back in the bad old days people needed an L-pad because it was cheap and buying an 8 or 16 band equalizer was expensive. Fast forward to the present, the new good old days. Use the EQ built into your AVR. If you are running through a computer every sound card comes with an EQ software program. Or pick up a physical EQ and plug it in, they are available used everywhere and they are cheap because nobody uses them anymore. You might think an L-pad will attenuate the highs in your tweeter, but what if the problem is not enough mid-bass that needs boosted? An L-pad will not help you experiment with that, an EQ would. Nobody uses L-pads these days. There's just no need for it.2 points

Not an exact match but this is what my Black Chorus IIs looked like after I sanded them down and applied Medium Walnut Danish Oil I think I got lucky as they’re both very straight grained for oak. Maybe they’re ash? Did Klipsch make that era of speakers in black ash like they do for the RF series? I have black oak Heresy IIs and those are very obviously oak with those big ugly grain patterns. My Chorus II are not even serial matching and both have very long straight grain patterns. Unfortunately I blacked them out after because for a time I was considering selling them and they had too much veneer damage that was too obvious with the Danish Oil. Now I learned how to cut out old damaged veneer and apply new and blend it in. The damage is all small enough that I can use an oak edgeband to repair the damaged parts and then maybe I’ll do the Walnut Danish Oil again but not sure. They do look killer when they’re big and black.2 points
