  1. Finally opened the box from last week. Got to leave the discogs seller a review and geeze, I've not had time for too much lately. Could be the rig or could be the improved pressing over the original that I knew was kinda lacking. Their earlier stuff live I haven't heard in decades now. RUSH All The World's A Stage

  8. Hello Forum, I have a pair of Heresys that were handed down from my uncle to my mother to me. From the labels i understand that they should be 1972 make and oiled walnut. As You can see, serials are not consecutive and, to me, baffling. Can somebody make a sembelance of meaning out of these? Cabinets are fine, just the veneer needs repair, its chipped in two places as You can see. I guess, the rest is mainly a matter of cleaning, sanding re-oiling, maybe waxing. I also want to make floorstands for them, found a template in the forum, great. And i have to rework the grills, the fabric is torn and one of the Klipsch- labels is missing. I haven´t opened them yet, but they do work, haven´t tested them to their linits either, don´t know if that would be a wise thing to do...? There are some other things i´ve got to get done first, but then these babies are next. Until then it´s going to be more research and maybe some good ideas from You guys. Andre

  9. Hello fellow Klipsch- Owners, just signed up and wish to introduce myself to this forum. I live and work in Berlin/ Germany. I´m lucky to own several products by the Klisch Company, those beeing: • RF 3´s plus center, rear, surrounds and a sub; got these while I stayed with the German Air Force in El Paso TX. • A pair of KG 1.5´s, bought with my first own money. • A pair of Heresy E´s (mid 70s, my guess). These are family heirlooms of a sort, beeing passed from my uncle to my mother and then to me. When i´ve got the time i wish to restore both the 1.5 and the Heresy E. Andre

  15. Just tried to pay bills online and discovered that my debit card has expired. Now I'm stuck going to all the places that have that card on file and updating the info. I guess that is why the bank sent me a new card last month. I generally don't open mail, but recalled one day my brother going through the mail and saying "feels like a credit card in this one." I checked and it was my new debit card. Wish these things didn't expire, just a pain when they do.

  16. Gonna throw this down in here since here is where I've talked about these guys before. The group is Ekoostik Hooka from Cbus, Ohio with Steve Sweeney on lead and Dave Katz on keyboard. Steve's played w/Warren and the Govt Mule and imo is the best lead since Joe Walsh to walk out of Ohio. Fire it up and let it run cause I KNOW you're gonna know the song when they hit it. Starts about the 16 minute mark.

  19. you never know. I remember a long time ago visiting my Aunt. My brother is there and somehow she asked something about me and a guitar. My brother says, "he's pretty good." Yet, every time I start to play, he closes his bedroom door. It gave me a complex ... now I only play in my room and I close the door -- and I don't use an amp anymore because I'm trying to be a good neighbor. That's all going to change because I'm thinking about buying a Variax guitar and I'm going to need be plug in with that. well, I guess I can look for my Vox headphone amp. come to think of it, I don't even know where my amp is ... probably in the storage locker? I'll buy another before I go looking in there!

  20. no music... relaxing with a bowl I may feel inspired enough to bang on the keyboard. It's a cheapo RadioShack -[prolly casio]. I have fun with it. Set it to percussion and drum my fingers. The neighbors would rather hear the stereo, I'm sure.... too bad for them. If I really wanted to nuisance them, I could cut into the on board speakers and push the LaScalas with the amp. I imagine it is a watt or two. Running them off the headphone out might work.

  21. I watered the yard too much .... the grass is starting to come up.It was inevitable. Was going to come up in the rains [if/when]. That was how I found that we had a "lawn". Not something I would plant. Too much work. I have to admit that soft ground under foot feels pretty nice. Was like walking on concrete. Everything was so dry, it got hard and turn to stickers. Things you wouldn't think might poke you. Like blades of grass. ....ever notice that apostrophes in contractions do not generally save characters? It is--- it's. Do not -- don't. Here is -- here's Cannot is one that it does save a character -- can't unless you count spaces as characters.

  22. If you stay off of youtube and the idiots wearing lab jackets and stethoscopes, you're going to find that all of the immunologists are in general agreement about how this pathogen works and how to increase your chances of avoiding it. Even the face covering thing is easy to understand, I just don't understand what the problem is. My mask protects you, your mask protects me. When I hear someone say that "masks don't work", I pretty much know they haven't read a single thing about it -- they are just regurgitating someone else's bullshit.. https://www.livescience.com/face-mask-visualization-droplets-covid-19.html

  23. Arms out wide like you're trying to distract raptors in jurassic park, work him into a corner and gradually bring your arms close and closer u til you can grab him. Try and grab so that you pin his wings against body OR go for the fit and flip him upside down and he'll go catatonic until you can hold him tightly in your arms. If youw ant to bait the cat carrier, you could use just about anything. Toss some in the grass and let him taste it. Then make sure he sees you toss some in the carrier and he should go after it. Patience and slow movements are key - he's faster than you when it matters most.

  34. Mornin' All Leftover coffee... nothing new that's the nature of leftover Slept in. Got up at 5. Seems strange getting up and it's light already. Scanned over cl... A couple KA-3500 amps in Tucson. One of the ads... KA-3500 pushing Bose 301's... They got sold the same stuff as I did in '77.. I think about what I could have gotten for the same $$ What did Heresy or CW cost back then? What's the read on the amp? Good. bad, indifferent? Worth $150? One has a tuner, too... Want $250 for them. I don't see many folks talking about their vintage Kenwood... safe to assume they are not favored? Having an out of house experience today. Taking the wife for her follow-up on her one cataract surgery. She goes in next week for the other eye. She seems very pleased with the results of #1. I will be relieved when she get both done. She doesn't didn't realize what she can't couldn't see. No, I'm not going in civies. No sense. Can't go inside. Might as well be as comfortable as I can. Made some "spaghetti" last night. No parsley and one of the cans of tomato had green chile in it. Didn't notice until after the can was open. Some of the tomato products were house brand... Never know how that is going to work until you taste them. These were tart. and more juice than tomato. See that a lot with house brand stuff... the more juice thing, that is. the monsoon is creeping into the weather forecast [beyond wishing for it]. Tossing chances of rain into the forecast. 10% - 30% through the weekend. Noticing the humidity is up a little. Still not 30%. From zero, any is noticeable. Thing smell different....

  35. This was brought up when they were released some time ago the Chief chimed in and brought up measuring techniques it appears to me that the woofer could also play a role as they use an accordion style surround with what appears to be a much smaller Xmax.
