  7. Delerium (Producers LPs) targeted at the club sound same label as McLachlan Netwerks. Deleiium and Enigma are the best 2 in this space IMHO They use a different babe on almost every track, lots of them. This track got a lot of play. From Delerium's sonic masterpiece Karma

  12. Side B in progress, white center label this time....kind of goes with the finish on the UTurn... This is really a very nice orchestral recording, and Paul as composer (with some help from the sidelines) came up with some beautiful themes here !

  13. can't find the clip ..I saw on tv[?] an electric "car" [looked like a gocart] that claimed 0-60mph in 1 second. I hope you're strapped in.... what I remember.... they did not mention the top speed of this vehicle. 60mph might have been all. IDK

  14. Thank you MM and Paul for the compliments on the 'livingroom' setting. Yes, I decided to leave the light set on the mantle for the summer. Lava lamps.......well, yes, those were usually lighted in full for our dinner parties in the WINTER. The radiant heat from 1100watts total is pretty incredible. All that liquid gets VERY hot! There are actually TWO Mathmos lamps from England in that display, they run on 220 with a special powersupply. Mathmos was 2 years AHEAD of the Lava Lamp Co. they started back in 1963, while Lava began in 1965. OK, the new lamp for the audio 'corner' just arrived via Amazon at this later hour of 9pm. It is setup and I have photos from my current vinyl spin. NEXT POST

  17. autumn has arrived here , average temperature is 70F , gets dark at 8 pm. I'm hardly ever at home, I'm constantly on the road visiting old friends I haven't seen in a long time. It is wonderful to meet them again after years, you have a lot to tell each other, unfortunately not only nice things in life.

  18. very dignified and cozy Gary, good room acoustics and a great collection of Lava lamps, have you already turned them all on at once? That must look crazy good when all Lava lamps are in operation at the same time.

  19. Picked these up from https://paducahhometheater.com/ at a great discount. About $3500 to my door. So far, the sound has impressed me. I do like the metal grill as that makes them cat proof.

  20. Perhaps if enough of us write paper letters to the Record Label, when they release the digitally remastered, more revealing, higher definition, new sonic heights, with unparalleled energy, and a never before heard track on every song, now including cow bells for the ultimate home listening experience .....

  23. Every song I hear with cowbell needs more. There should be songs that are nothing but cowbell. In my youth i set up an array of actual (not pro grade music cowbells but real life cowbells that i derusted and painted black) along with a latin percussion brand ridged cowbell along side my drum set. This was of course way before snl had their skit. Lots of us already knew the cowbell mantra.

  25. Nothing to be sorry about. I got mine, now I´m committed to get them back into shape. Getting the woofers will cost me, ok. I´ll put on new veneer and change the color of the grill-cloth, maybe. It´ll be some time, but I´ll get there. Maybe Your friend won´t like them, I can still buy them then. 😉

  26. Leslie West loved his Les Paul Jr. Just about all he everr played. That song was the "go to" for so many rock stations and still is. Coupled with Felix Pappalardi on that bass line it was a no brainer. MORE cowbell.

  27. Pretty much anything and everyone that challenges, contradicts, rebutts, or debunks the ongoing social-control narrative for western civilization. Now that the same 'screen' can be seen by all eight billion people, consolidation to a single narrative was inevitable.

  32. Thanks for the likes! I decided to make yet another change. I will take a photo a bit later. If you look to the front left corner, you can see an antique corner display stand behind the audio system. I moved that out for the first time in 17 years! I moved the audio rack into that corner, and I just ordered a new, minimalist, industrial floor lamp that will shed light over the turntable! This is a same day delivery from Amazon and should be here sometime this evening. Once I get that in place, I will send that new photo along and see what you all think. Thanks for your interest .

  36. They were sold that way so people could do what they wanted with them. If you oil them, they will get darker over time. A light tint in a thinned poly would also look good and provide protection. Love the naked cabinets.

  37. As good as the bass is with the Forte IVs the addition of the REL S812 fills in the lower registers the Forte IVs can’t reach. In addition the REL helps the Fortes mid bass sound even stronger. I have never heard any of my friends systems sound better or as good as my setup.

  46. Please forgive me how terribly untidy it is with us at the moment of the photo from just now. The third photo is the most interesting. For the reason that everything sounds better since books are on the other side of the wall. They actually cause the wall is no longer audible. I didn't know before that the wall is audible without books. But since the books are on the opposite side, it's much less resonant. The second photo is the back of the listening room.
