  1. Out listening to the piano man at the local bar. This dog belongs to my neighbor at the end of my street. He’s busy getting drunk and trying to hit on all the young girls. His dog is pretty nice though.

  4. Well it´s 2.30 am here , the girls left my apartment one hour ago. OHH we spent a good time , the dinner was perfect , guided by a german Schwarz ( black ) Riesling. They gave me bread and salt to celebrate the opening of the new apartment, which is an age-old custom. I also received a bottle of Italian Barolo Essenze from 2017, a very fine red wine. It was a very nice evening with nice and meaningful conversations, we laughed a lot. I´m tired now .........

  5. I thought you were talking about th dog getting drunk ... My friend had a dog that you could not set a beer down around. He would knock it over and drink/lap it up... the dog made more lady friends than his owner.

  12. last time I wore a suit was 16 years ago the 5th.... the doghouse is where I go to drink and smoke. She doesn't like the smell of left-handed cigarettes. I think we got our first freeze of the season this AM. Yeah .. I had a fire.... if for no other reason, the coffee gets cold too fast. My SIL is here... since Monday. She sez she's going home tonight .... I doubt she will head out tonight.

  17. Of course we don't know all the specifics including what subwoofer is being used and room size, but moving from entry level small 4" bookshelf speakers to an upper tier pair of larger dual 6.5" floorstanders would have to yield noticeable improvements all around. Now this idea would be something to consider if you wanted to upgrade without breaking the bank. Of course seamless subwoofer integration would be a must. Bill

  18. Considering you can buy 2 Klipsch RP-1600's right now brand new (on sale $1169) and still have change in your pocket yeah I'd say it's a bit over priced. The fact that the seller has referenced an amp repair specialist a few times already for his 20 year old sub doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence either. Now maybe if the sub amp was already refurbished and had some sort of warranty but even then I would think it would be a tough sale.

  19. Hard to say without hearing both but looking at the specs the r-41's have a tiny 4" horn with a crappy aluminum driver with a 4" woofer-- The size of the voice should be considerably larger with the 6000 ii horn is almost 7" with a substantially higher quality lens, driver and phase plug tech plus dual 6.5 woofers they shouldn't even be close.

  21. Ann Arbor, Michigan - Friday afternoon the B1G prohibited Jim Harbaugh permission to enter any venue his team is participating in for the next 3 games as part of the decision on the sideline sign stealing ordeal. He does have permission to coach during weekly practices. Harbaugh's attorney filed an injunction as a result.

  26. It is not possible to make such a recommendation. A particular tube will likely sound different in every piece of equipment in which it is used because of differences in operating parameters. Personally, I don’t believe in tube rolling but, if it’s important to you, you need to buy a number of different types and evaluate them yourself in your piece of equipment. Maynard

  28. Yes it would be an upgrade due to size alone, with some other factors thrown in. Being that the speaker is 39.6" tall, from the photo I would guess around 18.5 to 19.5 inches to bottom of lower woofer.

  30. 900.00 is a no brainer for a piece of history that’s been lovingly restored. If I weren’t all set in the amp dept. I’d give it a go.

  34. I still don't understand why your center channel's trim is so high and would be curious what was the level that your Subwoofer had in comparison. Fwiw, if you are hearing it as higher there is a chance that it may be, although some people prefer to do that when their center channel is smaller than their mains. Again, if it sounds good I wouldn't change anything. The sub was at (-10) or (-10.5). It all sounds fine, but as you and I know, those are some wierd numbers. I was hoping to get to somewhere, to where I understood the numbers and maybe it would be a little better. It just possible my hearing is not the happiest, because I am only with one sub. I had two sub 12's with that setup before and loved the bass. My main systems has even larger subs, I'm just a basshead, but at no time do I have it setup to where the bass is overpowering the rest of the system.

  35. Hey guys, I have been messing with it in between watching the Lions game. I could not get the center to give any other hz then the 150. I changed a few things and it would not budge. I raised the center and titled it down. I was thinking maybe my headboard was causing some issues, so I piled pillows. I took things out of the room. I brought my towers out some, not as much as I think was suggested but out a about 6in All the settings pretty much changed each time except for the center. I even made sure that both woofers were working and yes they are. I changed my tower down to 50Hz and I’m kinda going back and forth with bringing the center down a little bit. It’s not that serious, especially as much as I have put into it today. It’s just my bedroom setup, It’s mainly for putting in a movie/streaming netflix and falling asleep too. Thanks for everyone support in this matter.

  36. @Mauro Lowering the xover will send less content to the sub where the MultEQ filters have 8x more resolution. Also, MultEQ will not apply correction to the main speakers below the roll off point that it measured. So, I would not recommend lowering it. http://ask.audyssey.com/forums/84181/entries/76175.html and also, I agree, that comparing the Onkyo 805 to the Denon 789 is not a fair comparison. I wasn't calling myself comparing those two. I have always loved the Onkyo 805 with whatever speakers I use. I do also love the Denon 789, just not with the Klipsch. Denon really made some older HTiB speakers sound fantastic.

  41. I agree, that would be fine! I just want to add, the center channel from the quintet III's is not considered a C-1 Quintet center = 3.5in woofer C-1 = 4in woofer C-2 = 5.25in woofer C-3 = 6.5in woofer That is a interesting thought, I have a 5.1 in my bedroom and my Quintet III center is sitting in a drawer, I guess I could add that and make it a 6.1 or sell it.

  42. I have been wondering about a sealed and a ported subs playing together. How does it sound together? I have been planning on adding a sealed 10 inch to my current two Sub-12's. I have been thinking of adding this for awhile now, been too busy to really do it.
