  1. I arrived safely yesterday, the clinic is located in a noble hotel from the 18th century that was completely renovated in 2017, it is beautiful. The doctors and nursing team are very competent and friendly. My room is very large, nicely furnished and has a large balcony facing the sunny side. The food is okay so far, it's just the typical canteen kitchen food. The medical diagnosis took place yesterday and a rehab plan was drawn up for me which will now accompany me for the next 3 weeks. Whether this will lead to the desired success will become clear in the coming weeks. The weather is sunny but cold.

  7. @Full Range remember this is coming from the guy who make's Bobby Flay look like a mama's boy. He even butchered his own beef. ONCE! This year it went to the shop if that tells ya anything. 😂 Bottom line? I'd prolly try one @ the Coloray Beach House. I've got faith in the @grasshopper.

  8. can'r say I did, @Dave1291. @Full Range if you stop at the bakery next to the Coloroy Beach House [in the Sydney metro area] and they are serving mango salsa/chutney with or in their pies ... it's my fault. I made some for them.

  10. @grasshopper did ya have a breakfast pie this morning from the gas station? lol I think I could count on one hand the number of times I've ever eaten a sammich from a gas station cooler. Scares me... lol Yea, it's spring. Everyone has one. Just like everyone has a black velor picture of Elvis hangin in their listening room. lol Was always a hoot when ya drive by an old van somewhere in the middle of BFE , doors open and Elvis pics sittin everywhere. Apply tictoc here somehow. Youngest has people contact her about her doing something for a tic toc vid they're working on. Then she posts the video with her in it. Kids today think it's fine. I'm still trying to figure that thought process out. Maybe the gene pool? 😂

  11. Schiit Saga S pre amp. Picked it up used for a song. Cannot hear the difference other than some gain with the JFET turned on. Exactly what I wanted.

Typically the best they do is 20% off sometimes 25 off selected items. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer. Enjoy! ☕☕☕ . . . . . * Obviously Cocktails is #1 and Eff that 3rd one unless you are pedaling it!

  18. Wife is headed to Canada to visit older son and we're headed to the Philippines for Christmas. The budget is a little tight. I'm going to give Chuck a call this weekend. We do keep in touch, but it's been a month or so. He sends me a CD of his new music every once in a while. He runs a jazz club in San Diego, so he doesn't get out of the city much.

  19. Sorry Guys I have been MIA for some time now. From memory, There were a few P Parts hid around. Reach out to Jeremey McWilliams in customer service. He will be about the only one left there that may have a clue where they may be. There was no other speaker line that had that driver. Klipsch sold off much of the old stock parts to Simply Speakers (I think) If they have one listed, it may be a stock part. That's My 2db Good luck.

  20. Those are very nice paintings indeed, I like them both.... and I think you're over due on the visit with your friend. San Diego's a long haul, but it's Spring time and that makes for good road trip weather and sight seeing. Father time waits for no one, give your buddy a shout.

  22. 65 here in Duckburg yesterday! Today? Not so much. 35 outside now. lol Typical for spring around here. Calling for 60's and up on the wkend. Broke the grill out and toasted some bratwurst. Leftover's today! Mr Mudd that forecast is just plain nasty! Gave up on fertilizing the yard this year. New pull behind spreader fell apart last spring so I ordered a simple lil replacement part that cost me $15. The lil trap door from the bin to the spreader wheel. Cake, right? Wrong. Now the thing throws the spread into the cub cadet instead of the yard. Bleh, called Tru-Green and they showed yesterday. Dude walked it spreading granular, done in 10 minutes and was crawling in the pickup. I got the special for 60, then checked what he put on. 19 parts nitrogen and nothing else? Time for a new spreader I think. Back in two weeks for the fert and pre-emergence @ 115? Can't wait to see what the content mix is for this one. I knew they had it figured out but seriously? End of rant and time to make more coffee.. @MicroMara get on that rehab and hope all goes well for ya. Bad backs are nasty. We'll throw down some tunes for ya over in the youtube thread. Get to work and no cheating! Leave the females alone too. None of that feely, touchy, gropy stuff from another old man.

  35. The room is in need of some serious treatment. To start, a large area rug between you and the speakers will help. And an overstuffed chair or loveseat on the wall behind you. After that it starts to get pricey. But it's worth reaching out to these guys: https://www.gikacoustics.com/ They can give you recommendations based on your pictures. You can start small and add other treatment as funds allow.

  36. When it comes to gain matching, having matching power amps for bass and treble makes things simple. Plug and play, as the saying goes. As well, it makes the sound quality/timbre consistent from the very bottom to the very top. This could be very apparent if you’re listening to music that has a lot of content right around the crossover frequency. In the case of the Heritage Jubilee, the man at Paducah says that they don’t want to get into any complicated setups, requiring lots of follow-up. Customers buying these speakers should be knowledgeable, and not new to high end audio. The Heritage Jubilee processor is set up for matching bass and treble amps, and if somebody wants to experiment with big SS amps for the bass and little tube amps for the treble, they’re on their own.

  37. Blackcat, Why would 300b's not be able to drive a 8ohm 104db+ celestion driver on a 402? I guarantee you that combo will blow you out the back of the room if you wanted it to. Give the 300s a try, you will be very happy I am sure if you like them now. Noise floor may be an issue, but give it a try.

  39. Hey guys! Long time no talk! I used to post here a lot but life (baby) got in the way. Hope all the old timers are doing well! I'm looking for the gentleman that used to sell very nice speaker cables on here. Can anyone point me in his direction? Does he still do it? I have a set of his cables that I use on my vert decorator Corns to this day, I love them, and I need another pair for my La Scalas. Thanks for the help, y'all! Hope everyone is well! Jrod

  42. I loved this little guy out of the box. Plenty of great sound, portable but with a well-built feel. Perfect for travel, my main reason for purchase. Those hotel clock radios don't really cut it for us Klipsch fans... Sadly, the little guy gave out after a week or so, and would never charge back up. After reading some Amazon reviews, apparently there is a fatal flaw with the first run of GiGs (got mine in November). Something about a weak solder near the charger? That said, the guys at Klipsch have been great with my return/exchange. Communication has been swift and thorough. I sent it off Thursday and desperately hope to have my new one back by next Friday (Jan 17), as I'm traveling out of the country again. So now, the anxious wait!

  43. I actually run the UMC with an older model Outlaw amp. I've only had the UMC for a couple weeks, but I really like it. Nice, open soundstage, and it's as simple or complex as you want it to be!

  45. Okay, I'm sorry, I just have to be 100% sure this won't make much, if any, difference. I'll be receiving, and setting up, my Outlaw 750 tomorrow (woohoo!!). Here is my question... It's a five channel amp, I'm leaving the Integra to handle the surrounds. I'm only running 5.1 and plan on leaving it that way for quite some time. Therefore, I have 2 free channels on the Outlaw... I read on the Outlaw forum of someone splitting the signal ("R" front and "L" front) from their pre with a Y splitter, then connecting each end of the Y to a seperate channel on the amp. Thus, the R Front and L Front each had 2 channels of the amp going into them (one HF and one LF, obviously). The other channel of the 5 channel amp went to the center. So, would this be: A) beneficial? waste of time/money? I only ask this because I thought it might be different than just using the 2 left over channels (rear surrounds) of an AVR to bi-wire/bi-amp. Thank guys, Jrod

  46. My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to listen to the P-39F's in their listening room at the Klipsch HQ in Indy about 4 months ago. All I can say is... wow. One of those sounds that just makes you smile, even if you are trying to be "cool" about it. I had an ear to ear grin and so did the GF. After we left, all I could talk about was the sound of them... all she could talk about was the look of them... Great combo! They would be the perfect speaker in my household. My $.02
