Wife is at work and I am rocking it up (LOUD) with an album that I is so good and I like every song on it Be dammed the neighbours 🤘 What is your favourite song? However this may be my last spin for a while as I have a stubborn blocked ear without any pain Doctor said it is a Eustachian tube disfunction and it will pass on its own in a few weeks (I don’t believe him) ‘Anyway to explain how it happened - while swallowing water it went the wrong way and I had a massive coughing fit and that in turn blocked the ear canal (Yes I have tried several manual clinical methods to pop the ear to no avail) Artist - Black Sabbath Title - Paranoid7 points

Ok friends.......yes, been a while, but stopping by with some vinyl to spin. This time from the audio showroom. This album I bought NEW in 1978, I think played it only a couple times in that year. So, this is the first time spinning it again in all these many years! Guess you could say the Rega is set, table cloth and all .7 points

Listening via the Superscope s212 which I moved to the listening room, powered by the Willsenton R8 tube rolled with complete set of JJ. Electronic valves including a quad of EL-34 outputs. Vintage vinyl via speakers of the same decade. Here is the LP and a vibe photo of the listening space with the new speaker arrangement. (Martin Logans under cover at the moment.)6 points

Lawdy, boys n girls this thing's totally amaze balls! PWK HAS to be sittin up there laffin at me! If you don't jiump ALL over this it's YOUR LOSS! It DOES NOT STOP! Factor in Beth Hart in the lead song of the lp "Broken" it hooks ya right from the start. He does nothing but shred and rock. Transitioning into some smooth blues on side 3 that take ya for a smooth ride w/some stellar guitar and back up work complete with just enough sizzle to hold your attention. That just only draws you deeper. Then your right back into some smooth Tejas blues w/amazing lyrics all front and center in "Breathe." Filppin to side four wondering if it can get any better? "Heaven or Hell" WOW! Talk about hittin home with the lyrics then factor in the work? Tellin that story ya never heard but always knew was there? THEN the ride begins? "We get what we deserve?" BOOM and a shred right after those words we all know is true? Crazy! Slowing it down now w/"I Wanna Stay" and more amazing lyrics? Last tune is "Falls Apart" and I'm not sayin squat. Pretty sweet way to close a double gatefold that FLEW by! It's been a LONG time since I've heard anything this good. Trust me on this one. FIND IT! Yea, crank it up and LISTEN. Helmet on and buckle up cause it's crazy good. 💪 💪 Come on in @Full Range I'll clean that ear out for ya! Seriously though, feel better and keep us posted!5 points

After them I changed to Mott The Hoople, any idea what does it mean ? and finally ......Chase was an American jazz-rock band. On August 9, 1974, Chase was traveling by plane to Minnesota for a gig at the Jackson County Fair when they ran into bad weather - in the subsequent crash, Bill Chase died along with band members Wally Yohn, John Emma and Walter Clark, and their two pilots were also killed5 points

I'll Play You know how things change over the years. The ROCK-RADIO FM station we had back then played Rat Salad/Fairies Wear Boots together all the time like they did that pair of Led Zep tunes! Of course Iron Man was the reason to get that LP then! Now? I'll pull one that the lyric and music stick like bubble gum on one of those darn 100 degree early mornings! What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return Take your written rules, you join the other fools Turn to something new, now it's killing you First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm Disillusioning, you push the needle in From life you escape, reality's that way Colours in your mind satisfy your time Oh you, you know you must be blind To do something like this To take the sleep that you don't know You're giving Death a kiss, Oh, little fool now Your mind is full of pleasure Your body's looking ill To you it's shallow leisure So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now You're having a good time baby But that won't last Your mind's all full of things You're living too fast go out enjoy yourself Don't bottle it in You need someone to help you To stick the needle in, yeah Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!4 points

HA HA, yeah, the inner sleeve was a given. Yes, Post Image being out takes a chunk out of our activities, but we keep on....... Soon as it comes back I will put up my session from tonight. Walter Trout........I purchased from HIS website the last double LP set he recorded JUST before his health issues. Also have some of his others on CD. His organist reminds me of...... me LOL, we have the same Hammond Organ style and since I was in a top blues band, for my listening pleasure, I got hooked on Walter and his band since we were very similar in style.4 points

Good evening Gary, Really nice record you have spinning there. It is a great album. No doubt it is sounding incredibly good! I'm rolling some smooth Brasil '66 tape over on RTM. RTM - Sergio Mendez&Brasil '66 - Equinox Enjoy!4 points

I see what you did there Oh crafty one! That's a great lp. Nuttin like sittin here and not being able to upload squat cause the post image site is playin games. Grrrrrr. Getting an ear full outta the 3 that just showed up. Blah,, Adrian Smith & Ritchie Kotzen, Gary Clark Jr's. "Jpeg Raw", and Walter Trout's newdrop "Broken." Firt time thru the S&K lp left a lot to be desired. 2 tracks I enjoyed and the rest of it was slammed together imo. Left me hangin... Especially since the ones I ennoyed were the last two on side one. I'expected more creativity on side 2. Smith/Kotzen is the self-titled debut album from rock musicians Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen, released on 26 March 2021.[1][2] "Taking My Chances" was released as the first single from the album in December 2020.[3] It was followed by "Scars" in February 2021,[4] and "Running" in March.[5] Now I wonder WHY it just dropped in the US? It wasn't a restock or maybe it was. Hmmmm...4 points

I've experimented with stuff like this in the past soooo many times. I had a blast doing it. In the end though it made doing things the proper way more rewarding and satisfying. It's all part of the journey.3 points

Shippers do not care what happens after they sit the package down. They consider their job done at that point. Shaggy sits by the window waiting when the packages are on the porch. He's not mean but he is an imposing figure. Scares the sh!t outta the mailman.3 points

Putting the Heresy's on top of the forte's upside down will give you significantly greater results. People will still scream and shout about how wrong it is but I've done this several times and it works great, at least with like speakers. The early Heresy models have a lower sensitivity than the forte so that may have a negative impact but not sure how much. Either way, stacking them trying to align the drivers in both cabinets should improve the sound by quite a bit.3 points

Gary Clark was sweet but I'm waiting on the post now til Walter Trout's "Broken" is finished.3 points

Here's the Adrian Smith & Richie Kotzen lp. Smith/Kotzen is the name of a musical collaboration between musicians Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and Richie Kotzen of The Winery Dogs.[1][2] Their self-titled debut album, released on March 26, 2021, was described by the Ultimate Classic Rock as a mix of "blues, hard rock, traditional R&B and more."[3][4][5][6] Kotzen also added jazz fusion elements to some sections.[7] Smith/Kotzen was supported by a first single released in January 2021, titled "Taking My Chances".[1][2] Both musicians share guitar, bass, vocal, composing and production duties on the album.[1][3][4][5] Kotzen also plays drums on five tracks and Tal Bergman, Richie's longstanding friend and touring partner, replaces him on songs "You Don’t Know Me", "I Wanna Stay" and "'Til Tomorrow".[3][4] The album also features special guest performance from Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain on "Solar Fire".[3][4] Yea, it was ALL that! No wonder I was losing it trying to find a direction! ll3 points

@Mikekid my youngest daughter now has that T that Ted's wearing in the video along with a couple others from his tours I had. I will say the silk screeners always did a stellar job on his t's. Have his book here somewhere. He gave me one then signed if for me in a PINK sharpie being a smart a$$ laffin the entire time. Have to dig it up and I'll post a pic for ya. He's such a funny boy! lolol Sorry @JohnJ forgot to show ya everything when you were here. Just stuff and I just thought of that. Felt like I was a kid at show and tell the way it was. 😂😂😂3 points

Funny @Mossy bottom I remembered that "Taboo" lp you posted the other day. The one w/the volcano on it. Had to chuckle. You muist be ancient! 😂 😂 😂 MY parents had it. j/k j/k They did though. I thought it was different but good in it's own way. I was too busy jammin on Motown! lolol @GWSmith Walter is great. He lives almost next door to a local guy I grew up with. He moved outta Duckburg to Texas for some reason years ago. Lives almost next door to him. He brought Walter back to Duckburg with him for our Bratwurst Festival when his parents were alive. lol The twist was the guys dad was a dentist and he worked on Walter's choppers for free. Met him several times when he was up here w/Jerry. That was 50 years ago prolly. Today Walter's son is playing with him. He stopped in Cleveland a couple years ago and I almost went up just to bust his balls and check on how his teeth were doing. hahahahaha I told Jerry and he said I should have told him and he would have hooked me up. Think I wouldn't? You KNOW I would. He's a great guy. Yea, kidney trouble or something darn near killed him but man he can bring the heat. That place he played held about 3k and they were sold out. Jerry's into old Victrola's in a HUGE way. Some beautiful pics that I've seen. Guess he and Walter spend a lot of down time together now too. Jerry said he has some 76's Walter had made somehow to play on his old stuff. Crazy.3 points

Well, my Marllion LP has concluded. I am going to drift off for the evening with some digital streaming for a while, but I will return shortly. Keep on listening and enjoying the music my friends! 🍷3 points

No I did not. I went with what my friends down the street (VIVA TUBES) had ready to ship. I HAVE bought from Tube Depot for my ham radio needs ( Trio of 811's) and from Penta Labs in CA. for a trio of 572-B's for my RF use. There are 9 tubes in the R8, so it was a big expenditure to change out the whole set. I am very pleased with the JJ. E NOT alternative to Russian OR Chinese.3 points

My favorite is listening to my 5.1 mix SACD's with my RF7/RC7/RS7 HT system. Ha! I never listen to 2 channel. Up until last year I was like the Southern gentleman for almost 2 decades with multichannel concert videos thrown in...That said, lately I've been watching YouTube videos matrixed into 9.2 using Dolby PLIIz and am impressed how it works.2 points

Yes prefer the stereo side also. Prefer no sub in that mode. Just me but lots of folks listening with the limited bookshelf lower range do. Rightly so... You of course have no such problem, lol Nice system.2 points

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJugez1473M I think I have the system dialed in for the staging area it is in. Still a bit of reverb/echo from the room, but sounds lovely. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions!2 points

One speaker per audio channel please 🙂 If'ns you're feeling the urge to play two sets of speakers for two channel stereo, I might suggest that it's time for a larger, more capable singular pair of speakers. If you compare "Fortes Only" at 8:58-9:15ish vs both speakers at 10:00-10:15 the"effect" you get (a wah-wah-wah-wah) on the "both" becomes apparent how this can "mess" with things a bit. That's another interesting experiment. There was a guy on here years ago who used to do this with Cornwalls (IB Slammin or something). All the same speakers so it was easier to get them to "line up". ....and that's really "where it's at". So long as the amp can drive the load, no foul trying here, even if we learn some "works/not works" along the way.2 points

Just before heading to bed, caught your post Dave. Nice story on Walter! I was very much tuned in when he was on the liver transplant list. He almost passed away!! His wife was posting to all his fans to keep us all abreast on his progress. Happily, a doner came through for him and the rest is history! Have a great night everyone and thanks for the likes .2 points

Good Morning folks, @grasshopper you out there? Hope all is well in your corner of our world! Remember those Asiago Cheese Bagels a few years back? I know I can't be the only person that loved `em! I still look but around here their aren't any bagels worth buying at the stores anyhow. Plain or everything and not any of the good brands either. I'll look on my trip this week! Anyhow bought a loaf of Asiago bread the other day, made a pot roast with two four lb bottom rounds that if you cook long enough that darn lean beef will get tender too. Doesn't freeze well so it's every meal for a few days and I finished that loaf this morning! *Hmmm, mine wasn't sliced. I made thick slices!2 points
