Thanks for the reply. I knew the vinyl portion would be easy with the grill providing the most time consuming portion. Thinking out loud (never a good idea in public but nonetheless...): I wonder if the entire grill assembly could be colored using a concrete type of stain. Paint would not work for obvious reasons but I wonder if the concrete stain, being thin like water, would work in this application. Color selection would not be an issue.
Great job, Kevin! I love the two-tone look of the 60th anniversary K-Horns, very classy looking, IMO. Hopefully you're back to your normal sleeping arrangements now, eh? []
colter-I have two pair of RS-7s in white. I know that the speaker could be painted very easily but what to do with the grill? Two reasons for asking this: 1) Christina could pick up a pair of used surrounds and paint them white (but would have to do something with the grill if she purchased a black pair) and 2) I may be interested in painting mine and am not quite sure what to do with the grills.
Your thoughts/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
My first motorcycle; got it in 1982. The metal gas tank was not very comfortable when coming to an abrupt stop. [+o(]
and the bike I learned to ride on at my uncle's farm in the summer. The oversized tires made it a great starter bike.
Unless you get a PS3. Incredibly quick boot-up and load times.
Joe-did you consider the PS3? I picked one up in December and love it. However, if you start thinking about returning your player and exchanging it for the PS3 you may want to wait a few weeks. I read somewhere (I think it was indyklipschfan; could have been srobak too) that a newer PS3 is coming out fairly soon.
I am using a B&K Reference 7270 (same as the 200.7 which should be nearly identical to the 3220 methinks) and love the sound with my RF-7 setup. I had a Parasound amplifier in my system a while back but it was used to power the surrounds so I cannot comment on it.
Gotcha. I seem to recall that acousticsounddesign was, at one time, an unauthorized dealer but am reasonably sure that they are now authorized. You could almost say they were granted amnesty. []
You'll be the favorite family friend for a while, that's for sure! He's going to love that; awesome thing for you to do. If you wind up giving away any Klipsch speakers, I've got a neighbor that you should meet! []
