  1. I have prefect pitch... comes from playing acoustic guitar for over 40 years. I have never had a single issue between my ref and heritage were a NOTE was at a different pitch between the two speakers types. when I used MCACC to get a rough set up of my speakers, I was very surprised at the sonic differences between the her. and ref., it was extremely evident. since EQ'ing the speakers, I can still hear differences, but it's not so significant that I think that it is a mistake to run Ref. center and Her. fronts. of course this is NOT critical listening, but in the HT realm.
  2. not to jack your thread or anything, but I am in the same boat. I am going to sell my 93 and replace with a 105... it surprised me at how much I could expect to get for my mint condition 93.
  3. Blue Jeans Cables...
  4. even though the CW was originally developed as a center? I dont have that much of an issue with ref/heritage even though it has it's shortcomings. Mine sound good.
  5. Horns are easier to make in slices versus CNC? I'm not buying that one... repeatability alone warrants digitization. Perhaps i didnt get the meaning accurately... which wouldn't be the first time
  6. la voices mystery Bulgarian state womens chior... you'll find out right away if your mids and tweets are healthy or not.
  7. My god... if only I had the wallet
  8. gosh... you know, that is a good question. The thing is, I have only ever seen BD players (that also play DVD's) that upscale... some do this better than others. I would assume, there is a good chance that a low end unit might not do it.
  9. set you receiver sub to PLUS in the speaker section of MCACC
  10. two 402's with 1133's would be tasty. is there a price option for this or with the tweets minus the bass section? just curious as I am sure others are. you should list what other theater line items you might have.
  11. here in vegas... I go to Red Rock Casino. They are a Regal company and use Klipsch exclusively in thier theaters... including iMax. The iMax theater at Red Rock is the most stunning sound I have ever heard... or will likely ever hear. I dont know what they use as a front end... more than likely Atmos, but the Subwoofer low frequency effects are the most gut wrenching I have experienced. as a matter of fact, they have a pair of speakers somewhat similar to these la scalas hanging from the two rear corners of the theater... along with the rest of the 15-20 other rear and side wall placed speakers. I can not tell what they have behind the screen despite trying ot look thru the screen on a couple occassions.
  12. no affiliation... I've talked to this person before, he seems very nice and legit. La scala... $700
  13. that belkin DOES look impressive. currently I am using a Panamax 5400m also. I have zero issues with it, but am not sure I need it because my electricity here is pretty strong and clean.
  14. I love catch phrases like "new to you"
  15. Very nice... GL with the sale.
  16. really... I'd be scared. except for the speakers.
  17. Is there a subscription page or us users? One that automatically signs me up for that thread after i make a comment?
