  1. I hear that. The drivers are easy, though. Plenty here can give you the hot sub drivers for builds. I would email the guy and see if he might build you one or two. It still might be cheaper than store bought. Or ask him if he has any hand me downs.
  2. In regards to your desire for new subs and that you are in Norway, it reminded me of another thread from a speaker builder which I tried to find from your country. Couldn't find him. I did find someone from Sweden though. Take a look at his work and get some ideas for DIY sub builds and fill your space with all the bass you need. http://www.avsforum.com/forum/155-diy-speakers-subs/1530632-boundled-thread-subwoofer-builds-me-my-friend-europe-sweden.html
  3. I second that. Just like on AVSforum, you can choose a dark background if so desired and I always do. It is so much easier on the eyes when viewing.
  4. As it is said, when you reach a fork in the road, take it.
  5. A thing worth mentioning though I also don't have K-horns is where the 45 degree angle sets the sweet spot in a room. Does one have to take that into account and adjust ones sitting position in reference to that?
  6. I am about an hour in-between this exchange. I will envision a pair of La Scalas passing me on the freeway heading south and K-horns doing so as they head back up to Long Beach. If you have a battery powered T-amp you could play some tunes on them while driving.
  7. Yup...much better good old Robert Duvall line from that western with Kevin Costner...or was it lonesome dove?I knew if I stated my opinion on owning and flipping through a half dozens amps I'd end up in this BS...I just never learn about you thin skinned types...I've tried and listened to more amplifiers and gear in general over that 20 years then most anyone.. I found my sweat spot long ago... I'm to old to chase women also..learned last no ago they run faster then me! Close, that telling came from the movie "Colors" with Robert Duvall as he said it to Sean Penn. If anyone is interested in a tube hybrid amp with some serious power. http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649260273-rogue-audio-pharoah-integrated-flawless-free-shipping/
  8. not quite the best telling of that story. 2 bulls were siting on a hill, overlooking a pasture of cows, when one turns to the other and says, "Hey Pop, what do you say, we run down their and screw one of those cows." The other, slowly turns and says "No Son, we'll walk down and screw them all."
  9. If you wish to try a new flavor of tube amp, I would recommend taking a look at a Rogue integrated for sale in the garage section. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/162663-rogue-magnum-cronus-ii/
  10. The link included has the same dimensions as mine. http://www.cnet.com/products/klipsch-legend-series-klf-c-7-center-channel-speaker/specs/

  12. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/ele/5476547577.html Looks impressive.
  13. There are many very positive reviews on Rogue gear. Here is one on the Sphinx. http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/rogue-audio-sphinx-tube-hybrid-integrated-amplifier/
  14. http://www.divertech.com/aslmgsi15dt.html I used to have this Antique Sound lab amp driving my Epic CF3's. it has a switch that changes it between a 5 watts set amp and 15 watts in pentode for added flexibility. It was a fun little amp and had a nice remote control as well. It powered the Epics just fine.
  15. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/solid-state-d-sonic-magnum-monos-shipped-2016-03-01-amplifiers-93720-fresno-ca Here are some nice 1000 watt Class D monos on the Gon.
  16. I'll take the $2000 dollar headphones. I'm sure they are worth the price.
  17. another tell on which versions is the color of the drivers. Grey colored drivers on the first 2 versions. Black on version 3's.
  18. I am still waiting to find a woman who sharpens knives. Rarer than women in audio, it appears. My wife can handle a sledge hammer with the best, but she wouldn't even attempt to hone, much less sharpen, a knife. Got her one of the nice Chef's three stage slotted rotaries. Won't get a shave out of it, but it's simple and will put a decent edge on with minimum time and hassle. No way. I use it to coarse knock down a dull or damaged edge, then switch to a diamond stone manually to actually sharpen...finished with a steel hone. Dave You need only watch Top Chef on Bravo. That show is filled with women who joyfully sharpen their knives.
  19. For those who like quality kitchen knives, this is a great vid on a master Bladesmith in action. He uses iron from a meteorite in his blade.
  20. I enjoy Adam's shows. many are quite eye opening and funny.
  21. this is a fun way to get to know our states. You even get some nice voice encouragement when you get it right. http://jimspages.com/States.htm
  22. as well, the price listed is for each speaker.

Rogue gear is great. That is the integrated I might get myself one day.
  24. For anyone interested in a a pair of La Scalas in the Inland Empire of So. California, these look interesting, though maybe a tad pricey. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/ele/5437065253.html
