rockhound replied to HOGFAN's topic in Garage Sale
Awesome Steve what a deal! Greg is a great guy to deal with. -
Everybody has a price, I would not go above 400 for a set.

Machined Free Standing Baltic Birch Horn for 1.4" Drivers
rockhound replied to Dave A's topic in Technical/Restorations
@Dave A I'll second what everyone else has said those look fantastic. I agree having the ability to "adjust" the HF section is a plus. -
Bump for stocking stuffers.........

That's an understatement ask me how I know lol. I sadly no longer own these but just an example of the rabbit hole......

Although due to relocation activities I was not at the last SWAG but a few hours I can tell you that the rigs there were awesome a very diverse set of equipment, something for everyone. We even had a speaker rehab session where @CECAA850 held the flashlight while I refreshed my Chorus 1's with @Dave A MAHL tweets and refreshed networks done by Carl. Just a blast. No strings, no drama, no schedule, just hang and fellowship.

I'm not sure what Jim is recommending but you can trust what he tells you, he has had several different units refurbished over the years and knows his stuff.

@mike_littlerock welcome to the rabbit hole! I also live in Arkansas (Bentonville) there are a few others on here as well. What do you currently own? I have had the vast majority of Klipsch consumer and professional series speakers. I have not had the RP line yet but I hear good things about the 8000 series and for 1k you might look at those. You have found the best resource (this forum) some really knowledgeable fanatics on here.

I looked at the lake of the ozarks yesterday (online) looks like a great location with a lot to offer. I found a couple possible venues but as Carl mentioned above we really need a location that an attendee can check out. Finding and organizing the last event was easy, finding decent cables well that is a different story.

Droooool!

I second this thank you for the information.

So are there any follow along videos out there on building power and RCA cables that anyone would recommend? I have built some speaker cables but would like to build custom length power and RCA cables for wire management purposes.

As the title states looking for some good quality classic rock ( Eagles, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac etc etc) 7 inch reel to reel tapes for Christmas gifts. Anyone have any laying around no longer in use or know of a source to buy them besides fleabay?

Umm ya these are no joke, I heard them and loved em as well. As @mark1101 said above @jwc designed man speakers so don't worry about the weight Randy lol.
-
I'm guessing Chord for the win.

@finallygotmyheresies had a set of LaScala II's for sale awhile back.

Fella's these are very fine speakers. I would say for 1500 you will be hard pressed to find a better performer. If your on the fence about coming over to the dark side (Klipsch Pro) I invite you to try it I have a feeling you won't regret your decision. GLWS!!!!!

I just did the same thing moved up to Bentonville. I've always loved the Northwest portion of Arkansas, no friends no family just the wife and I doing our thing.

Although we are nor participating this year it isn't because of COVID, neither of us are home this year. I already had a plan to install a "candy chute" that would be a 8 foot PVC pipe decorated that would go from the front porch out to the front of the steps. Kids still get to participate and contactless candy delivery.

RIP, my favorite is Hunt for Red October.

PSA is who I have used in the past. I would spend the money. If you have a serious buyer they are going to want proof that the signatures are authentic. I don’t buy and signed memorabilia unless its been certified.
