  1. I have built 3 pairs of the cornscala C and have loved them all. I have owned 3 pairs of cornwalls and loved them BUT as others have said the mid horn and driver is what did it for me. I will stick with my cornscalas for now.
  2. Built a sound bar for the BIL, and got a Lepai amp from parts express, it came with a credit card remote that sucks. He needs the remote but only needs about 25wpc. Any other amps that would work for this without killing the bank that have a good remote???
  3. Free bump, great guy to deal with. Takes very good care of his equipment.
  4. This is the what I decided on using some full range drivers from PE. Thanks for all the help. Will start a build thread when I get started. Plan on using 8 3.5 inch drivers. Really wanted to build Bills design but sister said that was too big.
  5. Looking for some plans for sound bar/ center for my BIL. Looked at Bills design but was to deep to fit under his tv. Thinking maybe a line array type with 4 inch drivers and a couple tweeters?? Anyone have something they have built that may work. Got about 8 inches in height and about 5 inches in depth, width can go to about 48.
  6. Like the sound of the 7's but Cornwalls have always sounded better to me. Get what sounds best to you, Klipsch makes so many great sounding speakers it can be hard to pick sometimes.
  7. You don't buy a vette to drive 55 mph, same goes for speakers. I have a pair of cornscalas in a building that we hit with a true 80 watts, we had hearing protection on but they were moving a bunch, but never broke a sweat. Feed them clean power and they can handle it.

That little horn loaded black box can hurt you!! I would call that a sub. Heard it at the gathering and just WOW!!!
  9. Congratulations on the Cornwalls, and welcome to the forum. I think they are the best all around speakers that Klipsch has made.
  10. Congrats great place to start with Klipsch. Don't focus on power but on clean power, it don't take much to get those things singing real loud.
  11. I just hope the wife sells them for what they are worth when I die, not what I told her they cost!!
  12. Finally some pics, they are not all that fancy just used truck bed coating on them. They sure fill the room with sound. The concrete floor causes some nasty reflections.
  13. Well finally got the cornscala's done and in the youth building, they were VERY happy to say the least. Really loved the sound and the bass was shaking a few things in the building. Told them hang on till I get the sub built then they can feel what deep bass really is. Finally got the THT built and am going to take it to them this Sat. Made one screw up, I built it 35" wide as that was the max size that would fit thru their door. The wood shop door is 34" wide forgot about that!! Going to have to move a few things to get it out the side double door. Will post some pics after I get everything in place, going to start with the THT in the middle of the cornscala's because they are pretty far apart, may move it to a corner later but it would be about 35ft away from the mains if I do that. We shall see.
  14. Was talking to youth director at church, and he said they wanted to upgrade the sound system in the youth building. I told him I could build them some and I would donate labor, they just buy materials. I asked him over to hear my Cornscala's, he was blown away, he had never heard horn speakers before. I then let him hear the Jamboree's, All he could say was how much and when can you build them. LOL So I have a couple old Cornscala boxes I am going to fix up for them then going to build them a sub. Thinking very hard toward the F20 but up for ideas?? Back in the wood shop again, my life is truly one big speaker project!!
  15. Fun thing to have on my benq , watched a few when I first got it. Fun to play around with, but after a few months don't watch them hardly ever. Great for the grandkids, they love it.
  16. Count me in, I own a HVAC company and would be willing to do some " at cost" work if any equipment needs repaired or replaced. I am not far away let me know.
  17. Had one and it was a beast!! But put it in a corner hard and it felt like it had hinges in the frame. Evil handling bike, but in a straight line it was horsepower heaven for it's day.
  18. I use my xpa-2 to drive my subs with no problems. Pro amps would have done the job, but they wouldn't have matched my xpa-5. Emotiva amps will meet published output no problem. I am with Teaman, get one you won't regret it!!
